Exams in 3 days, 3rd WiFi adapter dead, now studying from the living room on a camping table like it’s a war zone. All my study notes are cloud-locked to my PC only somehow… send Ethernet prayers.

    wdym 3rd wifi adapter dead?

those cheap dongles plugged into USB?

if you really want to use desktop in your room and cant figure out why the dongles or PCI-E card keep dying.
might i suggest a wifi extender with ethernet port. an ethernet bridge.

USB tether your phone to your computer whilst it’s connected to Wifi.

I know this works on Android but not sure on iPhone if someone can confirm.

let me guess: you buy these cheap usb wifi adapters instead of a pcie card?

Download your files to your phone and transfer via usb? Or use USB thetering to access internet?

Can’t you just download the study notes?

Back in my day we had study notes on physical paper!

OneNote saved locally if you had a convertible Laptop with a digitizer stylus). Xournal if you used Linux.

It’s a huge mistake to not run the ethernet wires to all the important parts of the house. Wifi is a secondary thing, just for scrolling reddit on your phone.

If 1 died it may be faulty , if 2 died it maybe a coincidence but if 3 died then the problem lies with the pc its self bro

I think you’re seriously underestimating war zones.

It’s obviousThis dude’s made some horrible life choices. That have forced him into this situation….

I bet if he elaborates his internet speed is the slowest. His router is the cheapest thing on the market. His computer is garbage, his WIFi router is cheap. I bet this dude doesn’t even own an ethernet cable because it costs too much money…

Bro you ger what you for.

Honestly knew you were on TP Link before I read the full post. Guy I knew swore high and low by TP Link. Yet, his wifi never really worked, since 2009 and he’s constantly switching to ethernet cables.

My pcie WiFi adapter in my old PC has been issue less for upwards of 7 years.

Have you tried other USB ports? Are your outlets properly grounded? Your PSU or mobo are probably faulty and provide too much voltage to the USB port.

Cloud-locked to your PC… What does that even mean

Why do you have a dart board that low and on brick?

  18. TruePadawan

Could simply do USB tethering or Mobile hotspot

  19. Mattasaurusrrex

have you tried a powerline for internet, mine works great

  20. Dwayne_Shrok_Johnson

You can connect your phone to your PC using a USB cable. This will allow your PC to use your phone’s hotspot without a WiFi card

Electrical browning or ghetto outlet done by someone uncertified?

Ouch. It’s crazy how much I’m relating to this. My wifi has always been a bit spotty so yesterday I decided to upgrade my antennas. Long story short, somehow I killed my onboard wifi chip. Reinstalled drivers, reset, reseat, tried diff os, messing with bios, still dead. It’s crazy when I decide to fix the issue I end up breaking it.

Someting wrong, common isus like grounding can fry USB devices and even other stuf on your system and can be a warning for later isues. What PSU you using? You connecting the WiFi dongle on the case USB ports or on your motherboard?
