I was beyond excited for this game when I first saw the trailer. Pre-covid before the new consoles came out, the teased gamers with a first person story created by the same company that gave us the Witcher 3. The anticipation leading up to release was like waiting for a present you knew was coming but couldn’t have yet.

Then, it released. The biggest disappointment I remember next Battlefield 2042. Capitalism’s deadline was more important to the Corps in charge then polishing their product. The bugs were plentiful and game breaking in some cases. Wiped saved games, clipping into pieces of a building so you’re stuck, quests that don’t progress, the world going nuts out of no where, the list goes on. And the updates to fix them were so slow to come. I’m not exaggerating when I say I forced myself to finish the game, and that it put me to sleep. I would literally fall asleep playing this game.

Fast forward 5 years and here we all are, chooms. I really don’t need to fill the rest of the timeline from then till now. I’m in several subreddits and this one ALWAYS has at least 200+ people “net running”. Great things take time. The old saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” Well this isn’t Rome, this is Night City. And I really, REALLY hope they’ve learned their lesson, and launch the Cyberpunk sequel close to if not polished. Till then, damn this game is finally awesome and what I wanted from the start.

I got it on day 1 on ps4 and enjoyed playing it. Some annoying glitches, but it wasn’t as bad as people made it out to be.

I was there, 2000 years ago when they announced the game in the first trailer. I didn’t even know who Projekt Red was at that time, I discovered Witcher because they were the studio that was finally making a game on my favourite TTRPG ever

I was there day one, taking 2 days off just to enjoy my first play thru. And trust me. I enjoyed every bit of it. I will be there too, when Orion will be released, even if I have to rise from the dead.

  3. Haha i agree with the BF 2042 reference, but i’ll up the ante.. I pre-ordered Fallout 76! hahahha facepalm..

I’m on ps4 so i think i’m qualified to talk about cyberpunk re bugs etc.. and it’s honestly not that bad, even before the first update it hardly CTD that much, afterward it doesn’t at all.
Anyone who said it’s ‘the worst console game released’ just hasn’t been playing console very long.

As for cut content, even though i purchased it at launch I actually hadn’t seen any of the pre release hype so I wasn’t mad like people who had expectations.

Also props to CDPR, they made it so easy to get a full refund i did it by accident and had to re purchase it! lol.
Put that into perspective comparing it to Fallout 76- which is as impossible to get a refund for as they could make it

  4. Yep day one too. Watched and played it as it grew into the juggernaut it is today. Simply a masterpiece of a game.

Day 1 series X. It had some issues here and there but overall it was still great. Still playing regularly.

Got it day 1 on pc, finished it twice and it took me YEARS to get rid of any burnout I had for it, glad I’m back now

I LOVED the game breaking glitches and bugs😂 one problem was the almost constant crashing of the game though. I remember one day I played and it crashed like 4 times in like 2 hours but all in all I don’t regret it and after 1800h+ a little bit more than half of it in the PS4 I have to say it’s great to see that the game wasn’t taken down or something like that I like what they did with it and when I saw there is a DLC you sure as hell bet your ass I had to get it and now I even have the car for pre ordering PL and if I remember right it didn’t had any glitches (for me at least)

    Day one.
I’ve had a high spec PC and haven’t experienced any of game-breaking issues. Just some levitating cigs/phones and some weird car crashes.
Of course the game is a different one now, a masterpiece. But i loved it from the beginning.

Picked it up a while back, but not at launch, on my old PC. Shelved it till I had something with a bit more horsepower.

I’ve only recently dipped in properly, about 15 hours in. I absolutely love it. It has so much atmosphere. Night City really comes to life in 2077.

Honestly, shoutout to the Cyberpunk 2077+Battlefield 2042 back to back hype then disappointment, that combo pretty much changed how I view game releases moving forward. 2077 was the last game I ever preordered.

I had it day 1 on the Xbox One X, I was super hyped initially. I remember how disappointing the performance was, felt like it only ever got 20-25 fps the whole time. Funny too cause my and my gf at the time were having a blast with the character creator, which was the best part of it at the time.

I ended up getting it on pc and tried multiple times over the years and could never get back into it. But recently, it’s like something finally clicked with this game and I’ve been LOVING it. Finally, 2077 got its redemption arc in my life! I’ve got about 80 hours in so far and got the dlc but haven’t touched it yet. Finally it’s starting to feel like when I was obsessed with Fallout New Vegas, which is my favorite game of all time and I have hundreds of hours in.

How long have I been here? I had a Stadia pre-order.

I was there. Immediately I could see through walls. Turning off ray tracing fixed that one. But the game crashed after 5 minutes. Installing new drivers fixed that. I finished the prologue. The game crashed again and my save file got corrupted. I uninstalled it.

Fast forward a year and a half, a big patch gets announced. I’m intrigued. The game is good. Main story is amazing. Gameplay is Solid fun. Looks crazy good. But it’s no witcher 3. 7/10.

Fast forward another year and a half. Phantom liberty gets released.

    Holy. Shit.

Developers should release shit games more often if that means the dlcs get to be this good afterwards.

The only bad side of the dlc is how it makes the base game feel cookie cutter and empty.

Been here since launch, my V keeps slipping and breaking its neck at random times, and then, Flatlined, restart from checkpoint.

This bug never ceases to amaze me lol

  14. I finished the game in a few months starting on launch day. Get this, I finished it on stadia, who remembers that 😭.

  15. RabloPathjen

The game has gotten better over time, I had. Ore fun my second and third play through with more and more updates.
