You don’t get to do anything with Jackie anyway outside of the main missions so why miss out on some of the dialogue you would get from Johnny in the side gigs?
I never set foot in Konpeki till I’ve cleared the map in Watson
I don’t start playing the story until I can walk in and pay Vic his 21k on the spot and have a little left for myself for some toys.
Id say the bulk of this games ‘filler’ content (gigs and NCPD alerts) is better experienced after completing most missions and getting ‘hanako at embers’. This especially is true if you’ve beaten the game before. So on NGs, ill try to rush to johnny usually. Though I play on very hard so ill do some watson stuff so that im not naked after konpeki.
Do all of Regina’s gigs + a decent amount of missions to level myself up a decently good amount before doing The Heist (and get Hypercritical early) (and get a decent amount of money + decently leveled cyberware). I once managed to get Satori, Nehan and Kongu to tier 3.
The less time I spend with Jackie, the better
On new saves I now use the PL start tbh
The time you spend with Jackie is restricted to a couple of cutscenes, some scripted conversation, and a couple of actual mission runs. That’s it. You can’t spend *more* time with him unless you literally just stand in one place looking at him.
He exists as just a plot device to get Johnny into V’s head and give V some pathos moments when he dies – which is a shame. Not the brightest bulb in the bunch but would have been fun to hang out and raise some hell in Night City with.

I never really liked the Jackie character and wasn’t sad when he died.
What can you do with Jackie? I usually just jump right into the Jackie stuff from one mission to the next
I don’t necessarily rush, but I like Johnny more than Jackie, so…
I completed every Regina gig before doing the heist. There’s not a lot of Johnny-free game time otherwise.

Rush because I know Jackie is just using me to get a leg up in the merc world. But he’s a chiller fasho.
If it wasn’t for Jackie I would’ve never met Johnny… oh wait, fuck that guy!!!! Lol
Jackie all day everyday. I’d block Jonny’s phone number, he’s a jerk.
I mean, act 1 is a glorified tutorial, the only thing I’ll do is (maybe) rush to level 10 so I can install arm cyberware, then book it towards act 2 to open the game up, then take my time doing whatever I feel like
Gimme more Jackie! I loved that big guy as soon as the prologue kicked off, especially as a Streetkid. I wish he didn’t have to die. I love Johnny too, but Jackie is just such a cool guy
I always complete Watson before doing the heist.
Spend as much time letting Jackie talk to Misty. Then, 12 hours later and every scanner job is done, we go to the Afterlife. This way, V feels more beefy and like they can handle themselves but also justifies a bit of the independent bravado in the selection of statements between the two of them during the job.

If all players did all regina gigs and watson ncpd gigs they will going to the heist mission level 19 or 20 and that is good thing by that you can finish the heist easy

Uh Jackie only has like 2 missions? I always clear the map before I do the heist and it doesn’t give you any extra time with Jackie.
The only way you can change time spent with either of them is to rush the heist because Johnny will have things to say during the gigs in the prologue section that you’ll miss out on if you do them before the heist. If you want to see everything you *should* actually rush to the heist.
First playthrough, went to konpeki as fast as I could. Second playthrough, did most of the ncpd missions n called Jackie often
Neither. I go see the sights and leave em both hanging. Ill even make Dex wait for DAYS
