This guy has done something incredible. He stripped down an old Mazda to make this. You can watch every step of the process from conception to where it’s currently at now. Virtually everything on top of the chassis and powerplant is bespoke and if you have ever tried to fabricate anything you might realize that’s insanity. I used to work in prop fabrication and this is that but on steroids. Everything from a bespoke fiberglass body based on the 3D models from the game, to actuating doors that slide out just like the Quadra, to a totally custom exhaust system that’s functional. You can see how he tries one solution, finds it wanting, then moves on. He’s an incredible engineer on top of an amazing fabricator. It’s part movie prop fabrication, half automotive workshop.
It’s hours of content and worth every moment of watching. The car currently sits about at 90% finish or so as he’s just started testing it. I’m not sure how it’s going to ride on the open road as the materials and fixtures aren’t going to be suited for super high speed, but it really is a marvel to see and he’s trying to do everything with solid engineering work, not just external aesthetics.
