My recoil control might be ass, but I expected LMGs to be absolute lasers after their "buff", something close to prime MW19 Bruen but shooting marshmallows.
However, the damage is only slightly better at long ranges, where only GFueled streamers are hitting consistent shots with these recoil patterns.
A green ground loot iron sights Grau would be better than an 8 attachment XMG.

Yup. They killed them. They were already not so good in first damage range, the gpmg WAS an exception. The sakin and raal can compete. Raal has hella recoil so any kind of range makes it unreliable the sakin is easy to keep in check and I’d argue it’s the best lmg in game at moment. It’s ttk is very much in line with the meta options even out to distance.
I was using the sakin today with the bullets that’s stop sprinting, pretty good for medium range and kinda funny people were upset after lol but yea long range is terrible and the recoil was pretty bad.

I main LMGs, and you are correct. The max damage nerf is far worse than the recoil and range buff. I had been trying to make the PU-21 work in season 3 (3 solo wins with it). However, with this rework you absolutely need something for close range too. LMGs are overkill class only now. No chance to use them as primary weapons. The PKM has 31 max and 28 min damage and I loved that thing! I used it for the entirety of WZ1.
I don’t really understand what they saw that made them decide to nerf them. None of them were meta, and only like 1 of them even cracked the top 20 weapons, and only barely.
Why nerf an entire weapon class that was already being ignored?
They have brain dead weapon adjustments.. like when they absolutely annihilated the goblin which NOBODY used besides prolly me and my buddy.. it was the only MnK counter for sweaty AA players
