i mean, can it get any simpler? you put the .iso in, press next a few times, select your region and keyboard layout, type your name, press no whenever something else is asked and you’re done within 5 minutes nowadays. (of course you need a prepared .iso with bypassNRO set by default but that’s also extremely easy to do nowadays)

It can be tricky sometimes with all those errors. But it nothing compare to installing winxp or earlier versions back in the day. You literally needed half a day for it and it doesn’t guaranty that it will even work after that…

Obviously we could do this all in our sleep but I do think there’s added value in someone like LTT doing a step by step tutorial with high production values.
My guess is that a lot of people search for how to do this on YouTube, and there’s no reason why LTT shouldn’t have beginner content like this
My 2 cents

Who better to explain the process than the installation wizard?

If I could install windows as a 10 year old when Windows still ran on top of DOS, had no internet and only a DOS for dummies book in the house I’m pretty sure people can figure it out in 2025 without a video guide.

Don’t worry, that is just the installation wizard

Just made a new system for the first time in almost a decade and the windows part was pretty easy. Was able to google videos of people telling me to install rufus and grab the iso and then click the clicks to make other stuff easier and yeah.
The hard part for me has been knowing if I’ve done everything or if there’s some random really significant performance affecting setting buried somewhere that I missed since it seems really easy to… like turning on expo for the ram in the bios.
I made a post asking if I missed anything but crickets which I’m hoping is because I covered all my bases.

You just let the Wizard do its job man, no need to fear the arcana dude

If you can’t install windows, then you’re beyond hope. May as well just resign yourself to buying Dell prebuilts at your local big box store. Not even trolling, it’s that easy that if you can’t do it with the plethora of guides a mere google search away, you’re just not cut out to do anything else.

Meanwhile, installing Arch Linux is easy. You only need encyclopedic knowledge about a dozen different file systems (and understanding the difference between an extended and a logical partition), choosing the right windows manager (among 8 options with no descriptions) and knowing the extra packages you need for packages you need by name.
