Did a benchmark on DM on dust 2 and it seems like with each benchmark performance gets lower and lower. Strange behavior.

  1. Frame time consistency continues to be terrible in CS2 even with the fastest gaming CPU in the world.

Decals and blood never clear so performance deteriorates, + whenever someone joins the lobby or disconnect it seems to cause a frame time spike so death match ends up feeling awful to play

I assume this is on native resolution, all high settings, but still. Only 210 %1 low (the most important part of the fps) with that setup is abysmal.

I get 610/250 on 1280×960 with 6750xt and 5800x3d on dd2 benchmark but still in actual matches I get random stutters in fights which is very annoying and messes up the aim, add aim punch even with armor, peekers advantage, lag compensation and you lose fights against ex lvl 3-6 players from csgo who just run & gun their way to 2k+ elo on faceit in this half finished game.

  4. I dont think Valve DM servers are a good place for benchmarks

Yeah. AMD just recently with an update made the 9000 series 8+ core X3D chips outperform the 9800X3D in gaming. Its not by much to justify the price difference. But they are finally beating their 8 core equivalent.

Performance degradation could by anything from thermal throttling to improper Windows power settings for AM5 X3D chips.

Cs2 is the worst game in terms of fps. An aberage of 600 and 1% lows far lower than even 50% at 230 to 250 is pathetic. 0.1% lows are not even worth mentioning. A game running at 600 fps should never touch 100 fps at any percent lows.

They’ll keep making the game heavier and heavier so people have a reason to buy new hardware and hardware companies like Intel and Nvidia have a reason to sponsor the game’s events.

    Enjoy greedylism 🙂

  8. Have you optimized windows anything? I know that skews benchmark results but I learned a few tricks when I had an i7 8700 and managed to get about 100 extra fps from different windows optimizations, register tweaks and process lasso etc.

  9. If you can, test a theory out for me:

    Run your few benches.

But then play the game for a few hours.

    Then rerun them.

Alwsys feels like cs2, after a few hours (4-6+), becomes less stable, where simply restarting the game “fixes” it.

  10. If you want to even those bars out and make the game feel smoother and snappier. Launch options -noreflex. Nvidia app or control panel: enable low latency mode + fps cap, try something more manageable 360 for instance. in game fps_max 0.

I really did not believe this could fix the games inconsistent feeling performance at first, but happy I gave it a try. What are your settings? I am an obsessed PC optimizer, do a lot of cs2 fps tests. On 5090 and 9800x3d. DM is not a best place to do benchmark as you spend different time in different parts of the map. T base in higher fps vs. Long and car. If you are arguing that fps drops over time, you dont have enough data points and dm is not the best setup to test.

Those 1% lows are diabolical for an “esports” title.
