With all those bots? Even a noob can reach legendary nowadays. Back in earlier days, it used to be a feat though.
However, reaching 10,000+ pts is much of an achievement now.

If you are not abusing meta, then yes; if you are, then it’s just a piece of cake.
There is a Russian YouTuber who took the Legend first with NA-45, then with melee only, and this season he took the Legend WITHOUT KILLS. (In fact, he accidentally made 9 kills on his way from zero to legend, sometimes bots died from the care package and everything like that) and no, he didn’t do it with the help of a cool team that dragged him along, on the contrary, he was the MVP or at least the top 2 most of the games.
This YouTuber did this in order to show that Codm has changed over the years so that now you don’t even have to shoot in it to take the final rank.
There was a post on this sub few month ago about reaching legendary with 0 kills. Yes guy reached legendary with 0 kills. K/D ratio it’s — .
He got few MVP for staying on hard point or captures on domination.

It’s a very repetitive mode that is literally just about playing the game a lot, more than actually putting your skills to test. And matchmaking doesn’t help that case
I am a new player, downloaded the game this month only and I am already at grandmaster. May be now good(unbeatable type) players will come 😬.
Depends if you brute force it or not.
You can use the daily bot match to get there. But you can also do the intended method of playing Ranked all day every day, which is harder.
Some seasons are more difficult, but overall it’s manageable.
from my experience it’s not really about personal skill but how often you play. even easier now if you get daily bot invite
No, but if you rank playing snd only it may be harder than ranking with other modes because it takes a lot of points if you lose a match in that mode, but I guess they’re used to it.

if you have party it will be slightly better, but if solo queue, it will take time.
It is only hard if you rank to legendary in the first week of rank reset..this is where you face the rank warriors and sweats.
Tbh even that can be v easy if you are deemed to have low sbmm as the pool of players you get are practically nukeable ever game.
It can be a nightmare if you are classified as high sbmm group as you will face the pro, lb, OG S1,2,3,4,5 legendaries. Usually this is when rank is crazy hard and will take 3 days and around 70 to 100 games to clear the rank from m1 if you can find games.
After the first week or so, getting to legendary is pretty easy and can make it in around 50 to 70 games solo queue playing Dom and hp
Making legendary at the end of the rank series is v easy as all the good players will have been legendary nearly 2 months ago

COD was testing my patience at grandmaster V when I was just constantly loosing but then i finally reached
Ps: I played for 6-7 hours straight everyday with randoms So good luck if you’re playing with randoms, it’s a pain

Hitting legendary is not much of a feat imo, but hitting leggy at the beginning of the season would indeed be something to applaud.
Not at all, i can get to top 1k-3k very easily by playing 5 matches daily on average. I mean i do use meta (Man-o-war) whenever theres like 3 people using USS 9/MG42 though.
Hard? Not really. Time consuming? Absolutely.
As you can see the answer is no.
But there is ONE exception.
It’s when the season starts. Becoming all the sweats/YouTubers try to speed run their way to see who can reach legendary & Top 1 first.
As a top5k, I’ve had teammates who go like 4:25 with 0 obj, so yea anyone can get legendary, it’s getting top5k or 10k that matters tbf(even that’s not hard)
no it isn’t, there are cases here where players dont even get kills and still end up in legendary, not only that, that same player is even in a weapon leaderboard for 2 weapons by doing that 😂

I have actually stopped playing ranked at Grand Master IV because in all honesty I kinda suck at the game compared to all the other players in my rank and I don’t like dragging all my other teammates down with my negative K/D ratio lol. Now I just stick to public matches. I also realized that being Legendary doesn’t make you a great player, it just means your willing to grind more than the next player.
Not really. I reached legendary without doing a slide n shoot thing you see on YT. If you see a legendary that just stands in their place while shooting, that’s probably me.
I remember getting legendary back in 2020, it was very tough and the games were intense. I stopped playing and returned to this game in 2025 and reached legendary in just 7-8 days lol.
