Last night I was just casually playing in a pub lobby on Shattered Veil when I noticed a Doppelghast running around attacking zombies. The Doppelghast wasn’t brain rotted, and none of the Mr. Peeks Donut parts were picked up, so I was very confused at first thinking it was probably a stupid bug in the game… but I’m really hoping it wasn’t.
Moments before that Doppelghast spawned in, I did brain rot a parasite right in that location, so if there is something with this, it may involve shooting a parasite with Brain Rot.
Other things I noticed while following this Doppelghast around is that it would not attack vermin or parasites, and when it wasn’t slashing away at zombies, it was running around the map and stopping in spots where white crates spawn.
If this is an unsolved EE this would be awesome! A Doppelghast that barely takes any damage from zombies, and doesn’t just die after a few minutes like the Mr. Peeks/Donut EE (I followed this Doppelghast around the map for a good 20+ minutes before it was eventually killed by another player because he had no clue what was even happening).

Maybe the parasite you brain rotted just transformed a zombie into a doppelghast, and the game glitched like anything 3arc related, not everything is an EE.
Okay I actually had a thing like this happen but on Citadelle, I think I brain rotted a parasite mid transformation and the doppleghast that spawned never lost the brain rot, I had completely forgotten it happened until this post reminded me. I definitely think it’s a glitch and not an EE.
If the CoD wiki is correct then a parasite can evolve into a Doppleghast so if a brain rotted parasite evolved then it’d make sense that it’d keep the brain rot attribute (even if it doesn’t show graphically) since a vermin that evolves into a parasite will keep the vermin’s weakness to the cryofreeze ammo mod.
It essentially having god mode is probably a bug since they’re supposed to evolve into an amalgam if left alive long enough but it keeping brain rot may be intentional which would be cool.
