Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying to launch Warzone on my PC and nothing is working. I’ve tried both Battle.net and Steam, but the game just won’t start. No error message, it just doesn’t launch at all.

Here’s my setup:

  • CPU: i7-12700KF
  • GPU: RTX 5070
  • RAM: 32GB DDR5
  • OS: Windows 11 (fully updated)
  • Drivers: I’ve tried the latest NVIDIA drivers and even rolled back to the December 2024 version — still nothing.

Things I’ve already tried:

  • Clean reinstall of the game (on my SSD)
  • Used DDU to remove GPU drivers and did a clean install
  • Enabled/disabled XMP in BIOS
  • Checked for any presence of reWASD (not installed, not even a leftover file)
  • Made sure I'm not HWID banned (haven’t played in 2-3 years)
  • Verified game files on both platforms
  • Disabled all overlays and background apps
  • No antivirus conflicts
  • BIOS and chipset drivers are up to date
  • No third-party input mappers or controllers

At this point I have no idea what’s causing this. The game simply doesn’t launch, no matter what I do. Anyone else faced this and figured it out? Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏

Thanks in advance!

have you tried clicking on launch game via the game launcher battle net or you trying to launch it directly with the game folder exe file?

Have you installed other games and launched them with no issues?

What does it do exactly? I have hard time seeing what is happening since you just state nothing happen. Is there any mouse loading animation? Have you opened task manager to actually see if the task open for short time and then shut down or maybe it just open a task but it’s like not active. In task manager, Search for task name CALL OF DUTY or bootstrapper.exe or at least bootstrapper crash handler. Is it loading there. If yes manually end the process and try again.

If anything try launching the game from game path folder Call of Duty Launcher.exe

Right click on exe game file and make sure everything is unchecked in compatibility.

How many monitors you have? maybe it start on another monitor you not seeing.
Make sure your graphic card is fonctionnal.

Then if still don’t work, come back here and ask someone else.

Not to sound condescending, but it’s likely an issue with battlenet. While it isn’t official there’s talk of them phasing it out and just moving over to the Xbox app entirely. Battlenet has also given constant issues for COD. you can try reinstalling the launcher but doubtful it’d help

Uninstall REWASD and similar software. Uninstall anti-virus.

Do you have any mod software open? I use wemod for single player games and when it was minimized to system tray the game would never start even if I click the play button.
