If we don't count Bo1s, Vitality have surpassed NiP's 28-0 Bo3s/Bo5s only streak in a row.

  1. Vitality 2025 – 29

  3. Liquid 2019 – 22

In terms of matches won in a row (Bo1 + Bo3 + Bo5)

  1. NiP 2013 – 60
  2. Vitality 2025 – 29
  3. Liquid 2019 – 23

In terms of maps won in a row (match format doesn't matter)

Truly a historical moment, and they may not be done

So is Vitality beating NIP’s winstreak the consensus now?

  3. SyntaxHabibi

How can we discredit the bo1s? If anything that’s even more impressive for NIP, since they can be more random.

Definitely a nice record to have, but it’s gotta be said – while winning that many BO3/BO5 is more impressive in terms of truly showcasing how dominant a team is, the *record itself* is weaker, because there is absolutely no argument against B01 being objectively easier to lose in, which is amplified even further with MR12 now. If you really want to, you could even cut the current Vitality’s streak with their first map loss to MIBR at Pro League.

Give any team who’s much better than their opposition a chance to play a Best of 100 with resetting maps, and they will take it any day of the week if the idea was to get the longest record possible. Obviously a hyperbole, but that’s the whole point – B01 are fundamentally the most variable form of counterstrike there is.

  5. The achievement is insane because of todays quality of teams and players but the NIP undefeated map streak is in those days is equally as impressive as this bo3 streak in todays game. Wild. Fucking wild.

  6. Amazing feat for vitality. Congratz to them, breathtaking.

We will be there when it all ends, and it’s gonna be CINEMA. It’s gonna be such a banger and privilege for the team who gets to end their streak.

Napoleon approves, french domination will not last forever.

The next highest map streak is 21? NiP’s 87 streak is untouchable

Totally unreal shit from Vitality. We haven’t seen a team this well built since the Astralis lineup that won 3 Majors in a row. Truly remarkable.

Also if you want some nightmare fuel… Imagine Vitality win Dallas but the streak is snapped by a bo1 at the Major due to an inferior format…

    Counter jinx there I hope!
