They seems like nice people, in France we absolutely love MAJ3R, everytime he goes on french broadcast or does french related media, he’s genuinely one of the most wholesome person in the scene.
But, the fans on social media are probably the worst, and not only for Esport, even in Football, this is beyond bantering and often abuse/insults/lack of respect instead of having friendly banter.
This is why the view of Turkish people might be diminished, it’s not about them

Turkish players have a reputation for cheating more than any other nation in Europe. I’ve met a lot of random people in Premier who don’t like Turkish people because they just assume cheats immediately. I don’t think it’s fair, but I have noticed it.

Turkish teams were involved in dozens of ‘incidents’ over the years in which they blamed for cheating pretty much every team that beat them online, and then their fans would start harassing those opponents for months. They are similar to Brazilian or Russian fans, and none of those are liked outside of their own country. Unlucky mentality I guess.

Honestly the turkish fans probably make it hard to root for lots of people to root for this team, people often want to root for the underdog and not side with the fanbase that sends death threats to people/ constantly harass everyone. If you took someone that completely didn’t know anything about cs they would likely side against aurora for this reason I reckon.
Maybe they just cheered against them because they were cheering for the Mongolz. I don’t think that the crowd hated them.

It’s not them, it’s their fans. I was listening to “Talking Counter” podcast and SPUNJ was saying that after he tweeted something about Aurora, he got a lot of hate from the turkish fans. Quoting SPUNJ, the tweet was:
“Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but we can only have three teams from group B in the play-offs.”
He goes on to say that his tweet was not meant be a jab at Aurora, but the turkish fans were very upset. One of them said that he was gonna f*** SPUNJ’s mother in the ass.

I did notice they are not as popular as other teams but part of that is how you interact with the english speaking world. Majer is the one who interacts the most and seems like good dude and well liked.
