I miss physical copies of games with little goodies inside, like a map of the game world. Now you mostly see it in limited quantity and expensive collector's editions. For PC the normal copies might not have a physical version at all.

Especially the thick manuals that had the story lore and your characters/weapons/vehicles with a brief description of each thing. It was such a good way to immerse yourself into the game’s universe and made you even more excited to play the game.

Sadly all this were costs to maximize profits and also steam killed physical copies 🙁

Disappointed that smash bros doesn’t have moveset facts or anything but a tiny chip inside the box

I miss the maps especially. Why are paper maps so cool? Or are paper maps only cool to old folks like me now?

I only miss the freebies. If I want one of those freebies now, I have to pay a premium for it and it might not even be in stock.

  6. Well yeah. How do you imagine they’d earn money on you if they gave you such trinkets for free?!

I hate the timeline we live in… I miss my manuals and maps

I used to hang up the posters for GTA Vice City and San Andreas that were inside the PS2 cases or the PC Box of Skyrim had a poster of the map. And so many others. I loved these.

  8. I miss the goodies, but not the physical copies themselves
