Game: Days Gone Remastered
The Horde system has quickly become my favorite mechanic of any zombie game I've played in several decades of gaming. Hours vanish for me while playing the arcade modes in the Remaster.
I really wish we could have seen a sequel where this mechanic was expanded upon. I keep thinking how cool it'd have been to be chased by a huge horde in a city. Maybe even a co-op mode with a buddy.
Hopefully Bend Studios gets a chance to do a spiritual sequel. Like Housemarque with Returnal & Saros.
I'd buy a pure arcade mode game with leveled up hordes in an instant.

Loved my time with Days Gone. Really captured the zombie horde feeling without feeling too cliched.
Decent story too.
I hope we get a sequel, loved everything about this game. Especially the tone and vibe.

What I would love is the mix of Enshrouded level design tech (voxel engine) and base building (but not everywhere) and story and freeroaming and overall map design from Days Gone.
It was the first game in many years that I finished completelly. I usually loose interest in about 70% of the game, like Valhala and others. This one was great. And I love trying to rebuild society communities/fortresses.
More opportunities to lead a horde into enemy camps etc would have been greattoo.
The game had a lot of issues but it had great heart and I loved my time with it. A refined sequel would have been amazing.
We will have a sequel in 2042 after 3 or 4 remasters.

I still remember playing Dead Rising for the first time and I was awe struck by the amount of zombies you could squeeze into a mall.
A sequel with an actual likeable protagonist and character beats that make sense would be nice. Not gonna happen though; game director burned those bridges.
Don’t think the first game was successful enough to warrant a 2nd unfortunately.
You guys are making me want to play this. I never touched it when it came out because it seemed kinda lackluster.
Might give it a whirl soon.

Went back to State of Decay for a better gameplay loop.

Game was surprisingly fun!
Story could have been trimmed. Loved the characters. Just too much nonsense between.
If they ever do a sequel, I hope we get some urban environments. I think horde fights in a major city would be pretty cool. Battling a horde in a big open area can still be tense, but a tight, compact urban area where you’re running in and out of buildings while being chased sounds fun.
