God that thread about the US being the worst country ever and no more cs events should be held there is aging pretty poorly lol
The US has complicated visas, but this situation is definitely not because of that. Organizational incompetence is why.

I can’t imagine it would have been hard to contact other players from SA to ask them what visas to apply for if they didn’t have their legal counsel doing this work
Edit: I guess launders was wrong
ChaoticFlameZz
yeah you’re generally supposed to be applying for P1 Visas instead of the B1/B2.
and according to bit, MIBR’s coach, Brazilians have always used the B1 Visa to enter the US for shit like this since apparently it only applies to if you’re working under a US based company. [https://x.com/bit1/status/1926101247095886136](https://x.com/bit1/status/1926101247095886136)
so BESTIA technically didnt get the wrong visas.

So what launders is saying is that these visas are way too overkill for what they needed?
I think that’s fair to say, but they had to go through Argentina’s spokesperson to get these, I’d assume they gave them the real deal.
edit: he wasn’t right this time around, tweet deleted.

Just for everyone’s benefit ..the players have been applying for visas for 3 years according to the CEO .. Blast chose to have the major in the USA so it should accommodate the teams not the other way and the major is still 12 days away..The reason why visas get denied has to do with the players, not the country necessarily …the reason you don’t get visas are wide to cover here but mainly if you have a legal problem in your past or if you don’t have strong ties to your home country that would force you to come back to it …If you are poor for example and unmarried with no kids ie: no ties to your home country in 3rd world countries you are most likely gonna get denied a visa … to get a visa you need to demonstrate you are not gonna emigrate to the USA and this is very hard for 3rd world countries that are poor … the thing is if you are denied once you will always be denied automatically because the next officer to overrule the first denial has to provide a strong reason for that and that never happens unless your situation change drastically : (wife..kids..huge money making job in your country {esport won’t work here}).. Bestia 2 players got denied before and then the denials become automatic and it is not like the officer cares for a CS major ..he probably doesn’t know what is that.. For him, it is just a business or pleasure in the US which is what B1 B2 VISA which most SA players apply for …As to why other teams did get it I can’t know for sure…FURAI and MIBR are in the USA as far as I know but I have no idea 100% ..the problem for these 2 players is that they were denied before as I said…the claim that you need legal counsel for this is a joke…a legal counsel can give you advice but nothing else and every information you need is found online and since 3 players obtained visas then Bestia wasn’t doing anything wrong …people think US embassy officers care a bit..they don’t..Dreams are crushed in US embassies everyday

although as far as I could tell, B1 Visas can technically be used as long as its only for prize money according to this: [https://myattorneyusa.com/immigration-blog/nonimmigrant-visas/b1-status-artists-and-entertainers](https://myattorneyusa.com/immigration-blog/nonimmigrant-visas/b1-status-artists-and-entertainers)
