I feel like a new argument should be made. Instead of increasing VRAM we should be getting Nvidia, AMD, Intel, MSFT, and game devs to come up with a solution to optimize and shrink VRAM utilization. We should be demanding higher performance of VRAM but if we can shrink VRAM utilization it’s in the favor of everyone who plays games. If there was a 5090 big die but with 16gb of VRAM the AI cross buying wouldn’t happen.

I say as a mid range gamer with an 3080 and i5 3600kf playing on full hd is more than enough with 8gb vram. Altough games are shittly optimized and prices are outrageous
