Well that depends, would they be willing to at least have the space to ground battles like what the original Battlefront III was mean to have?

I wouldn’t mind it but I wouldn’t be as excited if its more of the same as the last one when compared to the ambitions of Pandemics bf3.
You guys fucked it up twice and took multiple years to bring 2 to a playable level.

I am extremely surprised there hasn’t been a third game or that they haven’t at least continued to support the 2nd game seeing as it’s still pretty popular yet was abandoned so early.
They could’ve added so many heroes, villains, and maps still, and skins could’ve made money. There really was a lack of customisation for heroes and villains specifically.
We’ve reached a point where I can honestly say that Battlefront II is an overrated game, everyone seemingly forgets what happened for years after launch.
The series chose to forget its roots, and rather than attempt to elevate the series into offering what DICE was known best for, they chose to instead chase that linear/“cinematic” bag in terms of level/gameplay design.
When the reboot was first announced I dreamt of Battlefield 3’s level of class synergy, multi manned vehicle crews, open map spaces, and the dynamic between land and air combat. That’s what the series had originally tried to do, as arguably a lot of its DNA comes from what Battlefield 1942 did.
Yet they somehow leaned away from what defined BATTLEFRONT. While those games certainly are aging, the original cancelled battlefront 3 for the 360 and PS3 showed what the series needed to move forward on.
The only way they bring me back is 64 player space battles where you can board enemy ships.

Well yeah, he’s been downgraded to small strategy games. No doubt he wants to go back to AAA work.
I’m sure they would, but EA doesn’t exactly have a history of listening to what the fans and developers want. They’d only bankroll a SWBF3 if they thought they could away with the whole loot box heavy design they had in mind for SWBF2 in the first place
I would love another Battlefront as long as it focused on just the original trilogy and the clone wars!

Is it just me that despite not reading the article is wonder which gang, there’s 2 Star Wars BF2’s one I’d like a sequel of and one I could only imagine the P2W hellscape.
Is the gang the ones who did classic 2005 battlefront 2? Because that was far better than either of EAs and I would love to see more

If EA is publishing it, I am not interested. They will find a way to ruin the game somehow even if the developers are great. Lucasarts Starwars games kicked ass.
Galactic Conquest and Space Battles (where YOU CAN ACTUALLY GET OUT AND INFILTRATE THE SHIPS!!!!) were the main reasons why I fell in love with the game

So many doomers really forget that they likely had to push the bullshit MTX on the developers of the game. They really turned the game around after all the backlash. Its a fantastic game now. I’d love to see them continue to add to it.
Dice Sweden have had three straight flops in a row and given recent news about the new Battlefield, I wouldn’t trust them to attempt another Battlefront.

To the developers- your gang is garbage. The product you previously created was exactly what microwaved garbage would look like as a video game. Your ability to take something that was incredible and enshittify it is beyond comparison. What you did was horrible and you should be so ashamed of your product that you should stay in the shadowy depths where those games have been cast.
To the Fans- just don’t buy it. This is an abusive relationship where we are told it us our fault, and it has to be like this. No matter what they are the ones that want you to give them your money for a more than likely incomplete game, with horrible mechanics and a worse bastardization of what used to be a quality game system.
As in the Battlefront 2 that once EA couldn’t stick microtransactions in, ended up being considered gambling by most of the EU and changing international law because EA was so shitty, who then abandoned and refused to push any updates to, and to this day is virtually unplayable because of hacks which can kill the game? That battlefront 2?

At the BARE MINIMUM, if they do this, they need a squad/party system that isn’t absolute cancer. I know it won’t happen, but anything but the EA App would make this feasible. That shit is such garbage.
