Hello fellow Zombie Slayers, I have come to give my experience with the Dark Ops challenge Box Addict.
So I just got it, playing Directed on Liberty Falls. At first I was keeping track of the weapons/streaks I got; however, I had multiple “save and quits”.
I had concerns it may not work and decided to do some Reddit Research. I found multiple people said “save and quit” resets it. I read things about “33 different guns” and heard of people spending 2 hours+ Meanwhile some said they had to get basically every gun in the game.
So after this I decided I wasn’t going to save and quit until I got it.
I rolled the box and took every weapon. Every. Single. Weapon. It did not matter if I had already got it…I grabbed it.
After playing for about 30 minutes on my Directed file (and maybe 80k Essence) I got the challenge complete! I was dumbfounded because I did NOT get every single gun during THIS process.
Here is what I got during the post save/quit:
ARs: All 11
SMGs: 3 (out of total 9)
LMGs: 3 (No Feng)
DMR/Marks: 4 (No FAL)
Sniper: All 5
Shotguns: 1 (out of 3)
Pistols: 2 (out of 4)
Launcher: 1 (90% confident only Cigma)
Special: 0 (of 3 total)
Melee: 4 (of 10 total)
WW: 2 (the two Ray Guns, no Thrusto)
Streaks: 4
Adds up to 33 Weapons + 4 streaks.
Now…if you include the progress from the Save/Quit times.
Special: 0 —> 1
Melee: 4 —> 6
Streaks 4 —> 6
Perhaps it has to do with excluding weapons that are added after the base release and any battle pass/event weapons…not entirely sure.
One thing is for sure, do not waste time keeping track of the weapons you grab, just grab every weapon until you get the challenge complete.

Here is my helpful tips!
(1) Have your melee weapon Epic+ and PaP 2+ and if you get a new melee swap back for your upgraded one.
(2) Have 1 gun as your main gun Epic+ and PaP 3 (Ray Gun is very effective),
(3) Cycle your second gun continuously, don’t worry about upgrading it.
(4) Decoy ‘Nades and Aether Shroud are your friends.
(5) Speed Cola Mystery Box Augment.
(6) When you get a Mr Peeks, immediately proceed to the shortest/fastest route to get on top of the CENTER building (where Exfil is). This will get you to the next Box the fastest.
(7) Just grab every single gun and don’t keep track.
(8) If you will need a break first play and get around 100k essence with your melee and main gun upgraded; save and quit. Come back and finish it in one go when you are ready.
(9) Gobblegums are not really necessary. But Idle Eyes, Immolation, Reign Drops, Respin, Kill Joy, and Power Keg, Arsenal Accelerator, Wonderbar, and Temporal Gift are all potentially useful (remember you can change packs mid game).
Since is so long here is the TLDR;
~ I grabbed every single gun from the box no matter what.
~ A total of 33 diff weapons and 4 SS gave me the challenge complete.
~ I did this on a resumed file and then did NOT save/quit until I was done.
~ I did not keep track of the guns (though I did mentally remember them).
