My friend wanted to play the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on her PC but she had a GTX 1080 Founders Edition. For some reason the FF7 game doesn’t allow her GPU to run the game. So I lent her my spare RTX 4060 since that’s capable of running the game at 1080p. Looks silly but it runs! Helped her build the PC last year. Upgraded everything besides the GPU.

Maybe instead of aesthetics, money should have been used on gpu

why is the graphics card so tiny?

The number you have reached is not in service. Please check the number or try your call again. This is a recording.

Just like Indiana Jones, ff7 requires hardware raytracing

Helped her build the PC last year? I see money wasted. With a basic high airflow case, sensible air cooler, and no cable extensions, could’ve gotten her something like a 3070/4070 instead of having her be stuck with the 1080

  6. 75tavares

Yeah, you made her waste money on a full white computer to leave her with 1080.

Yeah, I can see you’re not well versed in budget allocation

  8. pantherclipper

Absolutely **terrible** budgeting work if you had that kind of money and let your friend be stuck with a 1080.

Looks like it needs a blanket . And a friend.

If she had the money for these aesthetic choices, she definitely could’ve gotten a better GPU instead. I get wanting it to look nice, but surely you want to be able to play the games you want as a priority.

  11. I didn’t pick her parts. I just helped her put it all together. I am only lending her my RTX 4060 till her fiancé buys her a GPU. I just built with whatever she bought from Micro Center. I had no say in what she decided to buy. I just posted this because it looked goofy.

I want to know what model the fans are, it looks super cold in there.

  13. UnsungNugget

Dang, that’s a 4060? How big is that case? The card looks tiny in there

Comments shredding OP for being a good friend lmao. They didn’t pick the parts, just popped them together for her, and lent her their 4060. Relax fellas.

I feel like the GPU definitely should have not been last on the list of parts to upgrade

A PC that nice with an old ass gpu just looks weird

This is a bad build. Yes money can ALWAYS be spent on better parts if you absolutely do not care about looks, and I think there’s nuance to it. They could have had a white case and rgb fans for pretty cheap, and a white air cooler is barely more expensive than a normal one.

They absolutely could have had a white build with plenty of money to spend on something like a better gpu, rgb too. You can have your cake and eat it too if you know where to look. This is just ill advised/ill informed spending at its finest.

The case alone is 200 usd, AIO at least 150, and if those are separate fans, at least another 80 usd. 400+ dollars too much

A cheap white case, white air cooler, and some white rgb fans for 100 bucks is way better than this. Hell, some white cases already have fans included, leaving more money.

rant over. Thanks for coming to my TED talk

I see a $200 case, a $100 AIO, and a 1080 ~~Ti~~?? What was your friend thinking when she picked these?

    edit: 1080, my bad.

  19. willpowerpt

I’m assuming the fans on top are also in the reverse orientation, you’ve got every single fan pulling air out and pushing none in.

  20. techazn86

That is so sweet, OP! GG for you! Now she can have fun with her game! 😀

  21. HayzenDraay

Can I ask why you built a computer with a 1080 founders edition in the year of our Lord 2024
