Would explain all those advertisements for bullet trains to Chicago

Hopefully they’ll make it so we can sit down to a meal or hang out at the bars with some good conversation and gestures and such.

Whoever wrote that headline definitely knew what they were doing lmao.

Cool, I look forward to playing it in over half a decade

Everyone is frothing over GTA VI, but THIS is the game I’m waiting for!

The best part about Night City is that it felt like a blend of New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo and even Hong Kong… Hopefully they can blend other locations for the sequel, so it’s not just “Cyberpunk in Chicago”.

its a double negative so it’s gonna be a prospering city?

Malort will make you temporarily go cyberpsycho.

I’m currently 10 mins away from where they are developing this game in Massachusetts. Should I go ask?

Hopefully there is a bigger distinction between districts and more buildings to enter. And better car control.

i wonder which “direction” the development will go for this one.

It’s likely NYC. Chicago is a biohazard wasteland by 2077 if we’re keeping it close to the tabletop lore. NYC dealt with nuclear terrorists in the 90s but it has since recovered somewhat, not being the worst NUSA city to live in, but definitely not the best.

Yes and we will use maglev train system to get there. And the game is set in 2080 as well. There’s already a teaser for it in the original game.

looking forward to see the teaser trailer in 2035

Only just finished Witcher 3. Haven’t started Cyberpunk 2077 yet, or the Oblivion remaster. So between those two, and GTA 6 and the next Elder Scrolls, and the new fable and this new Cyberpunk game, I’ll be sorted for the next decade or so.

Please release it when it’s complete not before

Night City is such a great location. I kinda was hoping they could use it the way Yakuza does Kamurocho. Re-use the city for future games, while opening more and more of it to tell new stories. Would allow them to make these games faster too.

So will it be less murder in this new city or just keep the same murder rate as of today?

  19. I had such a blast with Cyberpunk 2077. One of the best games I’ve played. Granted I bought and played it one year after release, so the game was more polished when I played through it. Got over 130 hours in it (including dlc). Looking forward to the sequel! People just need to learn to be patient.

I immediately thought of Chicago in Shadowrun… now that was a mess of a city. But also an interesting setting. I’m sure they can come up with some interesting things to do with it in the Cyberpunk setting.

Hopefully they’ll actually test their game this time around.

Jerry Reinsdorf probably still owning the Bulls and White Sox in CP2 😂

I wonder why he doesn’t try to expand the lore himself , I mean of course it’s alot of work, but alot of the material is quite old and given his connection to cd project red I feel they would be probably be interested in helping him if necessary to publish it as well

  24. ParagonOfModeration

I love CD projekt red, but what direction do they think Chicago went?

lol So normal Chicago? Jesus just say that. The entire world knows Chicago is so bad, its bad rep is its own national anthem.
