The bow itself could and should be primitive. Maybe crazy draw weight and future materials. The ballistic math should be done with implants and optics. The arrows should be the star of the show. You can send a lot of mass far with a bow, but make it more delicate because the acceleration isn’t as severe.
You could have smart arrows, poison arrows, arrows for jacking into machines at close range or hacking, incendiary arrows, explosive arrows, multi target arrows.
Being quiet is also very handy.
Both green arrow and Hawkeye are very fertile sources to abscond with cool archery ideas. If they can exist alongside batman and Iron Man, bows could fit into cyberpunk perfectly.

Ultra-high strength bows that can only be pulled by borgs or integrated as a chrome would be very cool. Especially when you consider that it can be used as a silent projectile launcher

I’d absolutely LOVE a bow or crossbow in cyberpunk! I love bows so much in videogames! I could only imagine the draw strength of a bow built for some like V. In destiny 2 there’s this now that uses a bike chain as a bow string because of its draw strength. I feel like something like that would fit perfectly in this game series!

Honestly tech bows could be interresting. Arrows feel more natural as projectile that can have course adjusting tech on them than bullets to me. Being able to swap ammo type with only one actual weapon equipped can also be cool. It just takes one weapon slot and only one weapon to upgrade, and you just have to keep up ammo reserves instead. Could also be fun as something like firing an arrow with a wire to physically hack targets and bypass some ICE.

I want more silent weapons, I love playing stealth builds. I also want non-lethal sleeper darts and gas, land mines, traps, distractions. More ways to get creative and take out enemy camps.
