Apparently, playing CoD Mobile for five years means I’ve accidentally adopted a digital elephant.
Just checked my iPhone storage and this beast is sitting at 40.72 GB. FORTY. GIGS. ON A MOBILE GAME.
I swear this started as a chill shooter with like five maps and two guns. Now it’s hoarding more data than my college Dropbox folder. Every update feels like they’re secretly downloading Warzone 3 piece by piece.
At this point, I’m not even sure if I’m playing a mobile game or hosting Activision’s backup servers.

They should remove maps that are no longer available to play in the game
I think you shouldn’t download everything that is downloadable. Just delete some things and you are good to go.
I play it everyday mine’s 15gigs, you dont need to download EVERY skin EVER released and maps which arent available to play rn

I am honestly surprised how CODM takes exactly half the storage Fortnite does, while not even having as high quality skins and maps
It’s a huge mobile game, but it’s a mobile game with a ton of stuff. The sheer volume of content is ridiculous. It’s probably part of the reason they’ve kept it interesting enough to millions of players for over five years.
On console and PC, where every year is a new game, everyone would have their own opinions about what was carried over and what wasn’t. “I miss this map.” “They should bring back these guns.” “Where are the skins I bought last year?”
This game just builds and builds and builds. Maybe one day, they can do a big optimization and reduce the size. Likely a looming inevitability that strikes fear into the hearts of the developers. But for now, I’m just amazed that we have all this.
Same on Android, literally just looked at this yesterday when I cleaned up my rp5. Unreal for sure
If you redownload the game it’ll be like 8gigs with everything needed doenloaded + skins. It takes 12gigs for every gun skins and another 12 for every soldier
