From privacy perspective, it absolutely is.
None of the other browser collects your hardware ID and uses it to track your browser usage. Along with SmartScreen, Microsoft has pretty good idea who visits what, your social media profiles and because it uses hardware ID to track installation, you can’t simply reinstall it to get new identity.

I always used chrome, but for the last months it has always been lagging and freezing my whole computer, now I switched to Firefox and I can finally use the web on my pc again

Edge is quite alright, if youre not much into browsers, but i dont like them forcing it onto you that much – please give edge a shot, another browser is not necessary, please try edge first, and then when you changed everything you still accidentally open edge with the windows search here and there
