This might be a hot take, but I think people will never be accustomed to a brick on their face. It will never become as mainstream as normal monitors. I think the tech is cool, but I can work/play 8-10 hours a day on a PC and keyboard. While having this is exhausting both for the neck, eyes, hands… I think VR is never going to be more than a gimmick. Downvote away

I placed it on Ben Affleck to justify the cost?

Tried AVP in store. It was neat for watching what Apple calls “spacial” contents. However there is a drought of killer apps on the Apple platform. Nobody is developing meaningful stuff for it. Every fun experience I had with it, I can have 95~100% of the same thing with my Quest 3.

The only useful thing I found for VR is porn.

An established technology sold at way too high prices with little to no real use. it feels like a gadget made exclusively for tech bros. i love vr i think it’s really cool but what apple did was just ridiculous. some of the default apple apps in that thing were literally ipad apps in a floating box which is fine but when you pay $4000 you tend to look for a specific experience i guess. that’s just to say the whole thing was just stupid.

even apple are no longer trying to justify it

  7. Did they really sold any amount of those?

Apple announces a 3000$ VR set, 100k pre-orders without anyone actually checking is the product is legit or even useful. Money machine goes brrrrr, or maybe it’s Stockholm Syndrom

I am annoyed even by my normal glasses.

Let alone a brick on my face that is not made custom to my face.

I saw a guy sitting on a foldable chair in the park with great sunny weather with his Apple vision just bullshitting waving his hands around lmfao

Should’ve bought a pc with an Oculus quest 3

I still find it interesting that vr is still a niche thing in the world of gaming. It has been around for a reeeeally long time and it’s still not a mainstay. The prices certainly don’t help but it got stale insanely fast. Vrs still have the same functionality it has since its release and never even thought of innovating on a large scale.

POV: You haven’t figured out how POV works yet

Didn’t apple can the project due to complaints ending in low sales?
With a plan to re-launch a slim version?

    >VR

    >Apple

What a combination! I would add some NFT for flavor.
