I built my gaming rig 2019/2020 solely for RDR2.
6 years of full production is arguably a lot. Normally when other dev times were cited, they included pre-production.
And here we thought 2020 couldn’t produce anything good. Bring on GTA 6!
So they waited a year and a half to start making this game?
Bad news for RDR fans, I guess. Probably not getting ~~RDR2~~RDR3 until late 2033 🙁
Guess we’ll see it by 2030, just in time for GTA 5’s 17th remaster.

“In earnest” doesn’t mean production started in 2020. It was very much in development prior to 2020. All it means is that production ramped up in 2020.

If they actually push it again after announcing a specific launch date in the latest trailer, which has yet to be done by them when announcing things for the game, there should be mass uproar. Slapping a concrete date at the end of a trailer seems pretty damn final and hard to go back on.
I am absolutely dying to see some basic gameplay and especially physics.
