Remember when we thought Activision Blizzard was all of the worst parts of Bungie?

Ill say it Bungie has been going downhill since they left Microsoft/Xbox, Halo was the last time they truly seemed to be at the top of their game and one of the best devs in the industry, between the massive ups and downs of Destiny, bouncing from MS to Activision to Sony, and now Marathon looks like a trend chasing bare bones uninspired early access game destined to bomb, as bleak as it sounds the only future I see for Bungie is studio closure.

I played the alpha and actually really enjoyed it. Was going to be a day-one buyer until this came out. At least I know the artist to thank for the unique design of the alpha.
Now, Sony, after all of the controversy that’s come out of this company, are you ready to step in yet? Your $3.6 billion purchase is likely going to bomb on their latest release as a result of this, and you’ll have failed at releasing another live service once more.
I feel like you probably want to get control of the narrative around this, no?

Damn, that’s… frustrating, I can imagine. I don’t know how much success the artist will have pursuing this, though. Pretty much their entire case depends on the consistency of the plagiarism since most of the designs are fairly simplistic by design.
Apart from a couple of bits where it’s sort of shameless, it’s largely just a bunch of basic shapes, which could be hard to claim as a distinct artystyle.

This isn’t some random mistake made by some new intern.
This is Bungie management ONCE AGAIN trying to pinch pennies and cut corners in a coordinated effort to glaze the CEO into another luxury car.
