Bad take low resolution is a worse idea then a monitor with a better hz to it if you got a 60hz display go 75hz to get 60+fps makes a difference or go crazy get into the 100’s then adjust graphics settings.

A while back a bunch of graphics programmers were talking about gaming taking two distinct roads, high resolution gaming (4k@60) and high refresh rate gaming (1080P@144+Hz). It seems gamers have picked “yes please”.
As a HRR guy, it’s a bit sad that you can’t even get 1080P at reasonable refresh rates anymore.

With a CRT you can adjust resolution to your graphics performance

I was told my old monitor was the bottleneck of my pc. I bought new 165Hz monitor, it had awful shadowing/ghosting effect. Returned it and bought another, different brand and it too had it. The store contacted me saying they didn’t notice any problem with that returned monitor.
I have tried both of these with different cables and even on different PC and that shadowy after-image blur is there constantly. I’d go back to my old monitor but I have gotten used to this ultra-wide sreen now, lol.
