KH3 was massively over-hated. KH2FM forever ruined sensible discourse surrounding the series. Key blade transformations were fun, using amusement park rides was cool, the later update that added the faster combos made the gameplay feel a lot tighter, and the secret bosses are the best fights the series has done and proves the core gameplay was solid. I really do believe most people just regurgitate what challenge streamers like bl00dy say about the game. There’s a heavy bias against it thanks to that community.

If you hate KH and have played 1 and 2, why do you hate them? There is nothing really convoluted about the games at that point. The combat (especially in 2) is really great. Music is to this day some of the most beloved. Graphically holds up. And can be challenging/rewarding to play.

Most of the other games were not bad at all. They just do not live up to what 1 and 2 have.
The story built between 1 through BBS is actually quite nice. Cheesy, but nice.
Square has better games, but I cannot understand the hatred this series has.

Gotta say i kinda hate the direction theyre going in terms of artstyle. Leaning into realism in the franchise meant to invoke old disney cartoons is basically antithetical to everything the series represents.
Like okay it can work as a juxtaposition as level theming, but from Soras hair you can see that this artstyle shift affects the whole game and isnt specific to this modern cityscape level theyve been showing off.

Nomura has the mind of an emo 6th grader. All of this convoluted bs is just pure shit. But he thinks it is some master work. Some holy grail of great engaging writing.
