Hey all. So I want to update my battle station to make it more cozy but I’m in a tough spot. I have a custom container store desk for work from home and for gaming. I can’t change the desk because it’s not in my budget and I can’t repaint the walls either. I know I need to cable manage better, and clean up tons of clutter. But I’m stuck trying to figure out the best way to make this space look cleaner, calmer, more organized, and pleasant to be seated at.
Changes I’m thinking of making:
I was thinking of changing all the storage bins on the top shelves to matching white ones. Add under-desk cable management instead of the floor based box. And I’m also considering peg boards on the left and right to get accessories, headphones, controllers up off the desk.
I’m kind of screwed because I just don’t think the white/oak desk goes well with my red wall.
I wonder what you guys all think and might do? Thank you in advance.

You want to update but you can’t afford paint… I’d wait until you can afford to actually make changes. Sure cleaning up clutter will help but you don’t need advice on how to do that
Wall mount the monitors on arms and get the space underneath them back.
