Hally shrugged showing that he doesn’t want anything
absolutely 0 context to the rounds before but I have two guesses:
1. I would guess that coach Hally gave zont1x advice, said advice appeared but was not followed by zont1x, hally gives exasperated “idek” type look because he doesn’t know why zontix won’t follow his advice
2. The inverse of that, which is zontix was given advice by hally, the advice worked, hally gives an exasperated “see???” type look, similar emotion but different message.
I’m with you that it seems interesting, but also id imagine Hally keeps a more hardcore mindset for his players, wants them to focus on the game as a game, with coach giving orders and keeping the professionalism making it seem like a job to be done
The stare tells me Hally want to say something. And I actually think it’s “how da fuq u miss” alternative “get over it”.
chopper asked hally and zontix where they wanted to go to eat after the game, hally is very indecisive so he let zontix know he doesn’t have an opinion yet
You can clearly see that he gives donk‘s backrest a questioning side-eye before making eye contact with hally, indicating that he wants him to finally explain why the fuck anyone would sit like that. Hally, being the tactical genius that he is obviously knows and probably cooked the position up himself.
However, he also recognizes that the cameras are on him and therefore acts like he doesn’t know, as to not reveal the secret of the hidden 67 degree backrest jutsu to the lipreading iPhone-witches of the Liquid cabal and the FaZe crystal-vibration seers, lead by Karrigan himself, who is desperately searching for a way to bring back the FaZe magic.
He’s not allowed to talk unless it’s a time out right?
So I guess this is an alternative way of communicating.
After this game hally and Sh1ro also ignored the GG hand shake from zont1x and he just ended up slapping their wrist real quickly and walking away. Almost looked like some kind of inner turmoil was showing between these 3. Maybe hally and Sh1ro told zont1x to do something on that round and he didn’t do it correctly and it upset them and hally wasn’t surprised by the result despite hally telling him to do something else. This clip could be the result of that advise being ignored. No clue, but it felt like a bad look Spirit as a team and I felt sorry for young zont1x.
