I wish you users good luck with this one.

  2. Not a great first impression lol, blatant incompetence plus horrible business practices all wrapped up into one.

I wouldn’t trust them to get me to Netflix, let alone Pornhub.

Maybe do a bit of research into the company you’re buying before you buy it?

Unless I’m mistaken they are located in Australia.

If that’s the case this VPN provider isn’t secure it’s in the 5 eyes and is legally required to keep logs regardless of what they claim.

How can you buy the assets of a company then just start running that company and take it’s customers without the liabilities?

Fair enough selling the brand and technology, but the old company either needs to still be operating on a different name or you are taking their liabilities if you are taking their customers.

OK this makes me more comfortable knowing that the VPN I picked is way better than this trash.

That’s not legal lol. When you buy a company you also buy their contracts. “we didn’t know” isn’t a valid excuse to the law

Odd how every vpn app user on this sub list as their “reliable” piece of software, a product that has government backing.

    Just an interesting observation.

And this here is the reason why Proton is the best VPN.

Fuck you, I probably was one of those who got deactivated in the very first wave in 2023. I bought it maybe 1 year before Corona, but the speed and server selection was mediocre that I ended up using other VPN or no VPN. During my trip to Canada, I actually need VPN and surprise motherfucker, I don’t have subs at all.

Lifetime of a product does not equal your lifetime

Only costs $20 to initiate arbitration. You stand a good chance at a partial refund even with no lawyer. https://www.adr.org/

If enough people initiate, it will be way more expensive to defend than a class action. This is the way.

Almost ten years with Windscribe, not a single issue.

    Highly recommend.
