Won’t edge eventually follow in the same fotsteps since it relies on Chromium?

  2. ladyjinxy

Edge has an ok pdf reader, so I guess it’s fine

  3. j0seplinux

It’s basically Chrome with Microsoft’s spyware instead of Google’s

  4. Michaeli_Starky

It was always better than Chrome.

  5. shlamingo

Yeah sure, it’s better than Chrome. Still not using it

  6. GEN0S667

  7. cutlarr

Maybe, but why use it when u can just go Firefox.

  8. SomeOneOutThere-1234

It is definitely better than Chrome, but I still prefer Firefox/Zen by a mile

    Edge isn’t *that* bad.

In fact, I find myself edging a few times a day. When no one is looking, I’ll edge for as long as possible.

If anyone wants to join me, we can edge together.

  10. Been using Edge for a while now. No problems whatsoever.

  11. With my last W11 fresh install i actually start trying it out and honestly I’m pretty happy. After a billion years of using chrome, I now switched to Edge on my personal PC. It’s fast and does everything I need

Literally every browser is better than Chrome now

They committed sepuku with the adblock change

  13. Edge gives me microsoft rewards points, those pay for my game pass ultimate.

  14. Edge is pretty good functionality wise. It is just the privacy thing and the MS pushing stuff you don’t want thing.

I don’t get the hate for Edge at all. Is it because it’s Microsoft? I’m not a browser expert but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Edge that isn’t also wrong with Chrome. Yet I feel that people who hate Edge primarily use Chrome.

Brave having the best Adblock laughing in the corner

  17. Fusseldieb

It would be 300x better if it wouldn’t prompt me to set the **”Recommended settings”** back to **Bing** every single update. One misclick and everything is littered with clickbaity articles and a mostly useless search engine.

  18. danivus

UBlock Origin and Lite still working perfectly fine on chrome too.

  19. gazpitchy

Imagine even caring what browser people use…

  20. Possibly-Functional

That’s a low bar and both are below what I consider acceptable.

  21. oldmonk_97

I don’t like edge cuz when I close it. It doesn’t fucking close. It runs in the bg and I need to go in task manager and end the process tree… It’s fine as a pdf reader but for daily drive gets annoying.

  22. MoonEDITSyt

    I honestly can’t stand edge’s UI

    Besides, Firefox >>> anyway

  23. lIlITrashIlIl

I wouldn’t hate it if I could actually remove it but it’s Forced on me.

  24. jmorais00

Why the need for a Chromium browser? Firefox works great

  25. ExecutiveCactus

Its not thats its particularly bad in anyway, i just don’t trust Microsoft or the developers of chromuim

  26. mostwantedycbe

I use edge every day and I can’t see what the hell is wrong with it

  27. Revolvere

I’ve been using Microsoft Edge for 5 years now and it has not failed me once.

  28. Oleleplop

    I use Edge at work.

Its sincerelyu good and does things better than Chrome.

I use Firefox at home though.

  29. CharcoalGreyWolf

I had to make a lot of changes, but Edge is my secondary browser (after Firefox) now at work. With uBlock and EFF PrivacyBadger, and a lot of features either disabled (sidebar, New Tab stuff turned off, search engines changed, Edge doesn’t stay resident when closed or run on startup) or enabled (secure DNS) it’s solid.

It’s a shame o e has to customize it so much to make it right, but Brave is not approved for work, so this is the best Chromium option.

*chromium based malware with ublock working
