The JAK Backsaw kit for the Holger 556 uses shotgun shells instead of AR ammo? Is this a bug or part of the gun?

Just unlocked this and tried it in game and noticed I was running low on ammo super quickly, and then I noticed that it was using shotgun shells instead of AR. Why??

Is it part of that it has two barrels? The description clearly states that it has two barrels now shooting .556, why would it change the ammo type? I'm very confused.

    One of the most ammo consuming guns in the game

    And it now uses the ammo with the lowest cap, it’s definitely a glitch because I remember using it in mw3 warzone

    Yeah there’s something fucky with the ammo types atm, I was grinding the ASG camos last night and noticed with slug rounds it used AR ammo. Probably have it sorted for S4.
