    She was the queen of both France and England, and left a considerable lineage especially with the English king Henry II. The list includes George Washington, Elizabeth I, Simón Bolívar, Otto von Bismarck, and William of Orange, just to name a few.

    This fitting fact is part of my ongoing series of daily Civilization facts on r/civ, though crossposting doesn’t seem to work. Perhaps I’ll post some more highlights of the series in the future here.

  2. As queen of England mother’s day was technically back in March. I think mother’s day in France is also actually later this month.
