With the rumors of the Orginal crew returning for Bo7 sounding more true. I've been thinking about the real elephant in the room which would be Takeo. Tom Kane as we all know cannot come back to voice him due to his health.
So how do you think Treyarch should go about it?
Making him silent would be a nice way to respect Tom's legacy, but silent characters aren't always that fun to play espically in zombies where the quotes are so prominent in the gameplay
Recasting could be a path, but it could upset the fans. (Rome Kanda is there cause that would be my personal choice in a recast IF I had to choose that route. His work as Takemura in Cyberpunk is great and I think takeo and Takemura sound kinda similar)
Or should Treyarch not bring him back at all and replace him with a character like Maxis? I feel Maxis and Richtofen would have some cool interactions if she took Takeo's spot

I prefer the idea of a silent Takeo maybe he chooses to be mute or his vocal cords were cut. But Marketing would definitely wanna make him speak so a recast would be most likely.
Id way prefer they just dont bring back the og 4 at all (even if its neither ultimis or primis, but a new version), but if they do, Id prefer a recast.
They’ll probably use AI or something awful like that
I really doubt they will bring back the OG characters.
Only way I see them doing it is a second zombies chronicles where they can just reuse the lines.
Don’t bring back primis or ultimas and just actually get their writers to write good new characters
I feel like the OG crew should just be a guide to the new crew. They did their time, now its time to hand the reigns to a new crew
As much as I LOVE Tom Kane from his work on Clone Wars and Zombies, maybe we retire the OG crew altogether. Steve Blum, Nolan North, and Fred whatever the hell his last name is are still around, but while their ending was botched hard, it was still an emotional moment for all of us. They had their moment in the spotlight, but we need a new crew now. And while I haven’t played BO6 zombies yet or seen the new crew in action, it’s at least a step in the right direction for zombies to go. I’m just hoping for a return of Chaos since they never got to finish their story
While unlikely at this junction due to recent concerns directed at ATVI over AI, it would be reasonable to assume they are considering digitally recreating his voice to generate voicelines for Takeo.
After all, mainstream entertainment media has been doing this kind of stuff for a while, if not decades. Faces, voices, likenesses, and more replicated in practical or digital forms.
As a matter of opinion, I think Takeo should stay out of the Dark Aether saga. He was the least important member of Ultimis, and getting some new blood in there, like Maya and Requiem did for BO6, I think will do wonders.
if for whatever reason the crew returns, easily a recast (especially if we give the aether story the re2, dead space, and/or silent hill 2 treatment). i would also have tom kane/his family be involved with the casting process to ensure the legacy of the character is preserved properly
