S0k0n0mi
My library on epic is pushing 300 games now. All free.
I just take them hoping Epic is paying the developers for the copy.
They know what they did. Fucking timed exclusivity. Never again!

NotRandomseer
I pretty much only use egs for forknife

Downloading? You mean claiming it to never see a byte of it downloaded in your pc.
Strangeman_06
I got GTA V for free on Epic Games
JgdPz_plojack
Epic gives 20% reward cashback points from Fortnite transactions.
It became my coping mechanism to the Overwatch 2 item shop (before season 15 lootboxes), Rainbow Six Siege, CoD warzone and other live service with collab skins item shop. 1000 Fortnite v-buck only cost me around 5 usd as i got regional price adjustment by Epic store South east Asia payment region.
Damn my live service brain rot.
Shoddy-Area3603
Bold of you to assume I download it
Ogmup
I bought Hades on EGS back in the day, the rest of my library there is only a couple of freebies. And since I now use a Linux system and access my Epic library with the awesome Heroic Games Launcher, I don’t risk paying full priced when there’s a chance that Epic could block third party launchers in the future.
I stick with GOG for single player games when possible and otherwise I just use Steam.
michaelbelgium
I don’t even bother anymore with their free games somehow
NovaHorizon
Are you really downloading them though or just adding them to your library?
WeirdnessWalking
Who uses that crap anymore?
Appropriate_Army_780
I’d rather pirate a game then need to use Epic Games.
Tekgi
Gave me Death stranding director’s cut free (by mistake anyways) still haven’t played it
barto2007
Me buying the game on steam sale later instead of downloading their launcher on my computer.

Why is Steve Carell’s face shopped to have way more detail than the rest of the image?

Oh man this joke, hell yeah keep reposting it every week for another 5 years.
Chai_Enjoyer
Tbf I’ve never seen anyone spend even a dollar on EGS, it’s always basically a launcher for those couple of games you got for free and was actually interested in getting
Bhuvan2002
A smart consumer on this sub? In this economy? Oh this isn’t r/steam? Makes sense then.

Imma bet my ass this is a violation of anti thrust law

Why did they change the faces? Its so subtle but unbearable at the same time.
Street-Director9787
Yes, I grab anything that isn’t weeby or obviously for kids. I have a ton of games I’ll never play but could I guess 🤣

I truly wonder how long they can sustain it. I love it. Free games is so cool for everyone. But like. It’s definitely not a sustainable business model.
SnowConePeople
It’s not free. You are letting them mine the crap out of your private data. I know everyone does it but minimizing it as much as possible is not a bad idea.
AcidFnTonic
I dunno why but Steves energy in this shot somehow reminds me strongly of SpongeBob.

Petition for the epic game store to say “here you go, you cheap bastard.”

Oh you purchased something. Just not yet.

Thanks to them, I got into some games that I had no idea I’d love. Have bought more games on Epic than Steam, while the Steam account is way older. Especially those coupon sales were impossible to pass. Hoping they’d come back, with the cashback/reward bonus. My library on Epic is already bigger than any other platform, partly due to free games, but paid games as well.
Usually the cheapest price wins, but if GoG version is only slightly more expensive – it wins, other platforms do not get this treatment.
