so what you’re saying is the longer you go, the more you become Bender?

I actually really love this! However, I would definitely prefer to always be able to customize the appearance in case someone liked the “bare bone” look. Great idea, man!

I’d say yes, but not towards rarity being determined based on the age of an implant. Otherwise anything you buy new would have to be legendary.
Maybe rarity depicted by differing materials. Like common being a basic framework, uncommong having a metal shell, rare having fake looking skin, epic being some corpo-grade materials, and legendary being indistinguishable from an unmodded limb.

i would probably look like a Necron if this were in the game lol

I’m not sure about it being rarity, but it’d be cool to see the four fashion styles represented.
Entropism would be the very obvious mechanical-looking stuff—exposed wires and pistons and lenses. Very Maelstrom.
Neomilitarism would be black and functional.
Kitsch would be chrome and neon, Neokitsch gold-plated and sleek.

I’d love to see something like this for NPCs at very least. You go to a poorer area of NC and people’s chrome is starting to show more visible wear because they can’t afford to upgrade or get repairs. Love the idea
