This games size is and has always been stupid. Couple that with one of the WORST ‘launcher’ experiences I can think of and you have enough to keep me away from this game. I don’t know if it’s poorly optimized, devs don’t care, or all bloat.

It should be noted that that’s the file size if you download *everything*. That’s MW2, MW3, BO6, Warzone, DMZ, and Zombies, if I remember correctly.
You can pick and choose what you want installed.

CoD uses one program between the modern games that serves as a hub. That’s the space required for literally everything possible, not one game
You can select whichever content you want to download. You can even choose to download *only* multiplayer if you don’t care about the campaign to save space (or vice versa), which a lot of games don’t offer

I remember being gobsmacked when Wolfenstein The New Order was 44GB. The previous gen had game titles at 7-9GB because of good ol’ DVD’s. Now almost everything is just 100GB+.

While I agree CoD’s install size is ridiculous, this is posted like once a week. “Call of Duty” encompasses like 5 titles, so if you just select the ones you want to play, the download size will be a fraction of what you see here.
