But i can't enjoy extraction shooters…. i've tried them really bad but I can NOT enjoy them… it's always an overcoming for me to play a few rounds with my best friend….

It’s the best extraction shooter I have played, but that said it’s really only fun with friends. Solo or randoms I just can’t find enjoyment in it.
It’ll be successful, but since it is a paid title I think I’ll have difficulty getting my friends to play so I doubt I’ll actually play the release
If there was a PVE-only aspect as an option where you and other ARC Raiders in the lobby team up against stronger AI bots, then I probably would’ve been interested, but as it stands currently, it’s PVPVE only. So I have no interest.
Better than I expected, could do the playtest past weekend.
Same thing with Marathon. Extraction shooter is such a niche thing and most of them end up dead pretty quickly.

Helldivers 2 are fucking great tho
Apparently this started off as a PvE experience and during development they added PvP.
So it might be that the PvE elements stand out more compared to other extraction shooters
My only complaint is that it didn’t have proper *balancing* in matches
I played just a few casual games with my friends, and by luck, we beat a team full of purple gear.
Since that one game, we’ve been ripping through every single squad using the medium shields and purple/gold guns we got from those guys
The final version will NEED to have proper balance, or some kind of reset/wipe like other extraction shooters do
idk what game that is, but I highly recommend deep rock galactic.

I was so hyped for that game a year or 2 ago when it was announced as a PvE team up & beat AI shooter. They just saw the hype around the extraction shooters & just fell for it. And the problem with that is the PvP aspect in it which isn’t even optional.
May not be for you but there’s tons of people that are bored by PvE. I can only play helldivers 2 in small doses because I get bored with it quickly. But then again I’ve been playing EFT for 6 years.

I did have a lot of technical stutters regardless of the settings I used which pretty much made me close the game because I can’t play it, if it stutters when a fight starts.

Game looks amazing and extraction shooters are right up my alley. I’m excited.
It’s very fun and a welcomed entry to the extract shooter genre. Love my time with the NDA tests and latest Open Test.
Can be done surprisingly well , but usually ends up as a meta riddled PVP fetchquest marathon
I just need to know if the game is going to suffer fortnitification, where objects and clothing are added that dont match the aesthetics of the world.
Every game doesn’t have to be for every person. There are literally thousands of other games to play. I enjoy Tarkov, but really don’t like the community and some of its features, so I am glad more people are making games in the genre. Hopefully they make it better than what exists. IMO: This is like people complaining that companies make games like Dark Souls, why bother if so many Dark Souls games exist right? Then we wouldn’t have Elden Ring.
I was interested at first, but since they made the shift toward an extraction shooter i’m not interested anymore.
I have an aversion of competitive games.
I’ve given up on multiplayer games entirely. I’m getting older (36) and none of my friends play games anymore so I’m stuck with randos and it’s boring at best and frustrating more often than not.
Even online co-op stuff I’ve just never had any fun playing with strangers. I don’t want to play games with all the awful people online. I get enough of people during my day so I’m happiest playing single player stuff that lets me chill out and do my own thing.
It’s 2025 game of the year. The future is PvPvE.
not the best at pvp but dam was this game addicting. glad the devs are not leaning into a only pve game. this is probably the most casual pvpve extraction shooter and i think it will capture a wide audiance because of that. def recommend anyone who dislikes pvp to give it a try.
If it’s an extraction shooter, count me out.

I bounced pretty hard off Tarkov because of how convoluted it is, nevermind the cheating issues but this looks way more my speed. I liked Hunt Showdown, while not an extraction shooter gave me the same vibes, and Marathon looks just awful. Excited to try it out with a couple pals. Seems casual friendly enough but that could change once the masses get their hands on it like most things.
This is me for any of the survival/exploration games with that rust/fortnite/ark building style

Was so exited when they announced this game as a PVE only just for them to turn into an extraction shooter. I’m sure it’s great and all but it killed all the vibes on had on this game.
I don’t play BR or extraction shooters. If I want to PVP I’ll do it in a proper PVP game.

Deep rock galactic has 3.5 of those and keeps winning
There is a reason why I like Helldivers over other modern extraction shooters:
– PVE, no PVP
– less emphasis on looting, more emphasis on shooting
– balanced weapons and abilities, fully custom kits
– variety of enemy forces and types
Everything else feels like a struggle to be the MLGpro clone-game gutter wash.
I am rage blind after the game that blew my mind as a child has been reimagined as an extraction shooter.

Not an extraction shooter fan. Definitely won’t be because of No More Room in Hell 2 fiasco. Definitely a Battle Royale situation happening.
