This tier list is based on a DPS chart that ranks each weapon by its maximum damage potential, including optimal Perks and Augments. As a result, burst‑ and semi‑auto guns fall far down, since they can’t leverage Double Taps rate of fire boost as well as full‑auto weapons.
I also weighed ease of use much more then ever before. The Maelstrom sits at the top because it’s simple, has negligible downsides, and delivers absurd damage. When a “braindead” option exists, there’s almost no reason to pick a high‑skill‑ceiling gun.
So if a weapon requires precise timing, heavy recoil control, or ammo management, it’ll rank below a “point‑and‑shoot” alternative with similar or better raw damage. Conversely, weapons that outperform their raw DPS, explosives, shotguns, or guns with easy recoil, get bumped up.
If you enjoy using a weapon, by all means keep having fun. There are plenty of guns I think are awesome or feel great in practice that rank lower on this sheet; use whatever you enjoy most!
This will serve as the basis for my new weapon ratings. If you think I’m wrong, please tell me! I welcome feedback and critique to help me make better suggestions. I want to hear how your opinions differ from mine so I can improve it next time.

Haven’t played for a minute. WTF happened to the maelstrom? It was easily the worst weapon in the game when I last used it.
The only disagreement I have is with both the 9mm and Stryder Akimbo pistols. Centerized cross hair, high damage, and extremely high mobility allow me high rounds with both of these. It also gets extra points because it makes pistols a viable build adding a unique archetype to choose from.

Maelstrom went from the worst gun to the best, boss fights end in seconds now.
Grehkova with the stock that changes your ads to a tighter hip fire is slept on. Extremely accurate with great mobility and speed. Add the drum mag and it will let you cruise through the first 30 or so rounds.
Finally gave my Goblin the respect it deserved lol
