First off, I rarely ever comment on anything because there it's pointless & I wouldn't be posting this under normal circumstances, but this blew my mind.
TLDR – theScore's recent video on S1mple never once mentioned the war in Ukraine in reference to why S1mple took a step back from CS. They said "factors outside of CS". They claim to be journalists but refuse to acknowledge one of the most important details in the story they are covering.
Which pissed me off, so I posted this…
I wasn't attacking anyone, hell the replies to the original comment were actually very civil & I even made a point that Russian players aren't to be blamed either, echoing the entire point S1mple was making in his speech, which was a sentiment echoed by every other comment made in reply to the one person that suggested the contrary.
Then I noticed they deleted a comment I made trying to link S1mple's speech at IEM Katowice 2022.
Figured "auto-mod probably just doesn't allow links/etc in the comments, no big deal".
Then they deleted 6 more attempts mentioning that speech in anyway way, shape, or form (think how youtuber's refer to "the funny mustache man", etc to avoid demonetization). Every single one was removed within 5 minutes.
So I decided I'd keep an eye on it & shortly after the original comment reached #1 it was hidden from the video.
If this was about like 99% of topics out there, I couldn't careless but in the era of "Falcons-esq" things becoming a relevant topic in eSports, this is disrespectful to what every person in Ukraine has been put through for the last 3+ years.

Formatting apparently broke the quoted section and I can’t seem to edit the original post.
Here’s the comment for anyone who might have difficulty reading it in the images.
“It’s wild to hear someone say “he took the transition a little rough because of some factors outside of CS”.
His country was invaded, his hometown was being shelled, he likely has friends or family that have been injured/killed at this point, & is actively still at war.
Of course he’s not gonna be as focused on CS as he was prior to that.
This video makes it seem like he just got burnt out or something, which is pretty unfair to his legacy.
Frankly, it’s shoddy journalism to beat around the bush like that.”
They’re a scummy company I pray people just ultimately stop watching them
I haven’t paid much attention to simple but my understanding was the reasons outside of CS were about his contract issues with navi rather than the war?
journalists? the score esports? i thought they were glorified talking heads (by normie standards)
Youtube demonitizes videos extremely fast if they mention wars, covid, or capital crimes like murder or rape directly. This might be a factor here.
Maybe they just dont want a political discussion in comments. It will never end well or be productive , only full of hate
The Score is a fucking shitrag, more news at 10.
war has nothing to do with s1mple, he has enough money to relocate his family and he is also hanging out with russian streamers whose audiences support war
Dude your own comments always show on top for you….
We do not care
I think this is a YouTube thing. When it’s your comment it always shows up first
These guys have always been clowns lmao, thought everyone knew that after their dogshit leffen video
Hey… look. I don’t think it is the appropriate place for such a discussion. Everyone with a brain cell already knows how s1mple was affected. People who care know. It doesn’t have to be specified in every piece of content about s1mple.
I don’t really agree with what this comment is saying. But yea they’re a scummy channel, this doesn’t surprise me. I stopped watching them a while ago, like their videos don’t really tell anything new they just warm up 5 days old news and clickbait the shit out of it
