I've built a handful of PCs for people and 2 of them pay me to do upkeep. I just do it when I do mine. That is what the person said when I asked about the gunk. I vape at my desk I won't lie but I do not blow it into the intake. There was also a very strong ganja scent, meaning he didn't just vape near the rig. Makes the $50 he insists on giving me actually worth it; I usually can just air dust it out. Mine had a similar film but way less and not brown.

That is not your average smoker or vaper, that’s like ripping tokes and cigs right next to your PC in a humid room with no ventilation.
When vape mixes with the dust it does take a brownish color.
But this is quite brown. So I think there is a little bit of tar in there from smoking cigarettes/weed as well.
God. PC components don’t mix well with smoke 🚬 or vapes, please stop doing those near your pc.

It’s from dry herb vaping. It’s not like your standard vape juice. You’re vaporizing the herb directly and it leaves a resinous coat on everything the vapor touches.
It wreaks havoc on computers and fans from my experience.
I smoke weed near my PC and it has never got like this but I’ve got a huge fan that sits next to me pointed in the opposite direction of my PC so it keeps most of the smoke from hitting my PC when I blow my dro toward it

Reminds me when I seen cases like these for the first time in microcenter. Nasty and smells but still nowhere as bad as slapping hentai girl stickers on your PC then getting your mom to bring it for you. THEN I’ll actually die cuz the second hand embarrassment was crazy that day.

Yeah that’s from cigarettes or flower. I vape wax and nothing in my room or pc looks like this. But blowing it into the fans is so disrespectful even if the computer isn’t alive 🤦🏾

I bought a PC from a friend a few years back that vaped and I had to completely disassemble it including the GPU, Wipe everything down, Clean basically everything with diluted ISO-propanyl alcohol and then blow any remaining dust out with a data vac.
It took a solid 2 days to clean it 100%… Vaping, Smoking, I don’t care, It’s all gross.
I mean how dumb can you be 🤷🏾♂️
It’s like blowing Vicks vapor mist into your cats eyes.
