  1. As long as it’s not on a PC I have to use, I don’t care where it is.

Yet I can’t get *Crusader Kings 3* to run on it.

Yes. Technically you are correct. But those are no where near the same as actual Linux in a pc.

That whole meme is just anther version of “Awkshawlly”

I hate developing on windows. Love linux. Rhel, gentoo, whatever. Main rig runs Arch, with a small windows partition for VR. Windows server is cringe other than as a DC.

But tbh, for like 95 percent of pc gamers/users windows is a better choice.

ITT: computer vegan cyclists telling everyone what they it, how to get to it and why anything else is bad for you

With Microsoft being really shitty and pumping everything full of AI, I’ve switched to Linux. And it’s fighting me every step of the way.

I don’t wanna give up, but the easy option is looking very tempting

It’s not really the same as running on PC.

There’s a difference when the kernel is adapted for a specific embedded device and when it has to be generic and support alll kinds of hardware.

I’d love to daily Ubuntu on my main Pc/gaming rig but no bungie wont let destiny 2 run on linux

It’s not really Linux unless you need to be driven to madness over the course of several hours trying to solve a simple problem you could handle in under a minute in Windows. Most of those systems use their own far simpler interface to prevent madness and super computers have people with PHD’s in computer science to set them up.

Not necessarily because is good, but because it’s free.

I always tell people, Windows runs the enterprise, Linux runs the world, for this very reason.

I prefer Linux for work and home. If you don’t, I totally get it and we can still be friends. 💕

A server OS and the OS of a endpoint, like an every day driver and gaming PC, is vastly different.

I installed arch on my propane grill…
