Well that’s not going to help the onslaught of remakes/remasters.

  2. This is good, a lot of old games deserve remake.

  3. Voidfang_Investments

Very happy to see good games succeed.

  4. LeastHornyNikkeFan

The two games above are Moster Hunter Wilds & AC Shadows, if you were curious.

  5. YamTop2433

Todd got us all to take a break from buying Skyrim again to buy Oblivion again.

  6. Main-Swordfish-5337

Now if only Santa Monica gets the clue and remakes the og GoW trilogy…

Saving you a click for numbers 1 and 2:

    > It is currently trailing only Monster Hunter: Wilds and Assassin’s Creed: Shadows.

Now do Morrowind please. And do it old school with no quest markers. I would go do a quest get lost and finally find the quest 15 hours later after many adventures. And I liked the pacing of having to hit certain levels to move up the guild. I love that game.

I really hope that Kotor remake makes it

  10. I only ever played Skyrim so this was a no brainer for me. Basically a new elder scrolls in 2025 from my pov

  11. >It is currently trailing only Monster Hunter: Wilds and Assassin’s Creed: Shadows

But all the Asmongold fans had me believe AC Shadows was a failure?

Please fallout please. Idc if it’s new vegas or 3. I just wanna replay any of them on modern engine.

  13. SyntheticAlien

Love replaying it and happy that I can finally earn some trophies for this game

It feels like gaming junk food in a way.

I *should* load up one of the new/rpgs I am trying to 100%. Keep fighting that backlog. But then I’ll think Im tired and not up for paying attention. So I’ll load this instead. Then Ill spend 2 hours trying to level something like alteration.

I really wish they had done Morrowind instead. But I guess they had their reasons.

And it’s free on Gamepass. Extra impressive.

Edit: I didn’t say Gamepass is free, I said Oblivion is free if you subscribe. I was simply highlighting that these numbers don’t factor in all the missed sales caused by people acquiring the game through GP instead of retail. Which, when you add those up, makes being #3 even more impressive.

It was between this & Expedition 33 for me. Went with E33. Absolutely loving it, but I will pick up Oblivion at some point as I only played Skyrim on the 360,PS5 & Switch lol

*“I don’t want to set the world on fire…”*

  18. OminOus_PancakeS

I’m much happier to hear of classic games getting remastered than classic films.

  19. AtaracticGoat

Considering this doesn’t account for gamepass players, that’s actually huge.

We complain about studios regurgitating old games; we buy regurgitated old games. The cycle of nature.

  21. xTRESTWHOx

So this definitely means we’re getting other remasters of old Bethesda titles, doesn’t it?

Personally, I’m all for it. Been absolutely loving the Oblivion remaster. Tried getting into the original, never could. So this is allowing me to truly appreciate one of the greatest RPGs ever made.

  22. nocturnal20

Release a physical copy please!!! I’m ready to buy once it does.

  23. xXTheFisterXx

They had the balls to keep the majority of the nonsense in

  24. Usrnamesrhard

Man what if instead Bethesda released a new elder scrolls game?

Naaaaaah I’m just kidding they can keep doing this and make tons of money with way less work.

  25. ChadJones72

Which is wild since it was pretty much just shadow dropped on what felt like a random day.

  26. Sanchezzy123

Skyrim sub is so salty over this lol every other post is just people saying how they hated it and Skyrim is so much better

  27. Scorpio989

Publishers: “We need to make our games $80!”

Most of the top selling/played games right now are UNDER $60 or F2P. There’s like maybe 3 or 4 games on Steam top 50 best sellers that are $60 or higher right now.

  28. USAF_DTom

Oblivion, Clair Obscur, KCD2, Schedule I, and my old faithful Cyberpunk 2077. I could not comfortably buy a game again for a long while.

  29. luscious_doge

Physical release pls. I sound like a broken record to myself.

  30. SterlingG007

Todd just got a boat load of money just from a remaster. He’s definitely going to remaster Morrowind next.

  31. xXCryptkeeperXx

Now do it again with Morrowind, same dev Team.

  32. mil0wCS

Its genuinely an amazing remaster. If the remaster is this good. It makes me really excited to see how good ES6 is going to be.

  33. Wooden_Echidna1234

Couldn’t say no to the $50 price tag.

  34. ffgod_zito

Hey Bethesda if you’re reading this, this means gamers want more of this not watered down rpg mechanics with AI procedurally generated maps with 5 POIs and safe and vanilla dialogue and stories.

  35. MrBigWaffles

The game just keeps crashing for me. Every time I fast travel

  36. PreviousMpetric10

91% of Game-Sales nowadays are Digital. Why the fuck would anyone care about Physical Sales?
