I’ve done for a lot of thing. Bought the video games systems of my youth. Bought the instruments I’d always wanted. Bought a lot of the stuff I really wanted as a kid others had I never got. Bought pc builds I’d tinker with. And don’t play them or use them. I guess the catharsis was mostly done by buying them.

I agree with the sentiment, but damn if this meme format doesn’t get abused. The bottom two panels need to be the same to make it work.

All_Thread
I play more games in my 30’s than 20’s maybe because I got myself in a position where I don’t have to work 70-80 a week anymore way more time for gaming.

This only gets worse as you get older if you don’t deal with it. The problem is that with an older head the first couple of hrs of a new game feels like work… might be kinda fun work, but still work. Its so easy to fire up an old game you are familiar with, or the live sevice game you know so well, and kinda hate for the timesink it is.
Once you acknowledge the problem you can deal with it. You have to make a conscious effort with a game you dont know, to start it, and give it a go for a couple of hrs, then suddenly it will become familiar, your brain isn’t working so hard, and you enjoy yourself through to the end.
Its not you ‘growing out of gaming’… it’s your brain getting old and useless.

I’m some RGB RAM away from my dream PC. I don’t buy games unless they’re on sale for $10 or less. I get most of my games on epic in the free section or use steam db free packages script 😹

I’m afraid to say that I’m gaming more on my steamdeck nowadays. I don’t really care about gaming on max settings anymore, I just want a device that I could bring with me while I walk outside.

My friend went from intel to amd platform on 9800x3d, but he only plays one unity game, nothing else.
Though in this particular case it was necessary, the game is optimized like shit. I think some people in the comments might actually guess which one exactly I’m talking about. One word “streets”.
