Either install windows 11 with rufus bypassing the hardware requirements, or install windows 10 iot ltsc.
Or if you truly want your OS to be your second job, install linux I suppose.

I know there is something called Rufus, but if not, Windows doesn’t allow me to even upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

I got an 18E4 motherboard with an LGA 1150 socket and an Intel Core i5 4590T with DDR3 Ram, so I don’t think I can.

Some clueless coworkers allowed windows update to install the 11. We got i5s 7th generation with 8gb RAM and mechanical hard drives, so these poor people were hating their lives. So I installed the Windows 10 iot ltsc and became their hero.

Linux Mint for older rigs, Arch Linux + KDE Plasma with archinstall for newer rigs for gaming or some point and click Arch-based distribution like CachyOS/EndevourOS/Garuda.
Only 2 tiny issues are that you will have to learn a new operating system from scratch and multiplayer games that are not from Valve like LoL/Fortnite/APEX/Destiny 2/GTA 5 Online will not work on Linux.
Or you can keep clinging to Windows 10 until the hardware vendors start to gimp their driver performance there.

I don’t want 11 because it’s trash, hardware is more than acceptable.

You can just install the windows 11 server version for older computers, there are alot of videos about that.

You can easily bypass the TPM 2.0 requirement by making the bootable usb stick with rufus. With that said some newer online PvP games, like Valorant required to have TPM enabled. So while you can use Win11 just fine, just keep in mind that you couldn’t play some new games

Imagine not running W11 in 2025 😂☠️

I just dont want to upgrade period. I should not be forced to migrate to each crappy version of windows

A ton of people have no clue the are eligible because they don’t have TPM enabled. Everything 8th gen intel and above can use Windows 11

I made the mistake of believing the “we won’t support windows 10” threat and I regret listening. I miss 10 so damned much.

But isn’t windows 11 free? You only have to pay if you want to use their software. But the os seemingly runs fine with the water mark.

Or just use Rufus to bypass the requirements which is honestly the best and easiest solution. Old i7s are very happy with 11, even when gaming. My i7-3770 in my Inspiron are very happy.
