This is normal. You will get used to this

Back in 2014 I had a 1 megabit/s (about 100 kB/s) for a year and honestly had no issues. The only time I struggled was when I was trying to download a patch on a playstation 3 game, and it timed out because it took too long. Then last year I tried 3 megabit/s (about 300 kB/s) for a few weeks, but had to pay for proper internet because it just was too slow, even normal websites had issues loading. It’s really standing out how exponentially much larger file sizes everything had been getting.

I remember leaving a computer on every night for several weeks to download pirated games back in 2003

Dial up was wild. But the Internet was fun and exciting

    I run 1,5 MB/s. It’s enough.

I torrented a show that was 845 GiB from a company that shut down. It took me 40 days of on and off downloading, averaging out to 388KiB/s according to my torrenter

I had 5mbps some months ago. Doom Eternal took 3 and a half days to download. Now I have 80mbps and I can download larger games in under 2 hours

How I also look at a disk write error 50Gb into a 150Gb game install, at 3 Mbps on a failing SSD

Just walk away and forget it till it’s done. Than randomly you’ll come back and find a peak of like 100mb/sec for half a second
