Have you ever noticed the subtle presence of birds in PUBG maps? From the caged pigeons in Rondo to the chickens roaming Taego, these avian additions aren't just for ambiance—they serve gameplay purposes.

In Taego, for instance, chickens react to nearby players by squawking, potentially revealing positions and adding a layer of strategy to stealth approaches.

Similarly, in Rondo, bird cages can be found on building balconies. Destroying these cages releases the birds, which might serve as auditory cues or simply enrich the environment.

Interestingly, PUBG has experimented with more than just birds. In Vikendi, bears have been introduced, adding a new dynamic to the gameplay. These creatures can attack players who venture too close, turning certain areas into high-risk zones.

This leads me to ponder: Why hasn't PUBG incorporated more wildlife across its maps? Imagine the strategic depth and immersive experiences that could arise from encountering various animals in different terrains.

What are your thoughts? Would the inclusion of more wildlife enhance the PUBG experience, or do you prefer the current balance?

I think it could be interesting, as something to possibly distract you or make you think there’s are enemies moving in the bushes or something.

Always shit myself when I hear the roar of a polarbear behind me on Vikendi and remember they exist on that map!

  2. Rondo birds also chirp when someone is near.

Vikendi bears guard high tier loot.

    > Why hasn’t PUBG incorporated more wildlife across its maps?

Because it is a battle royale game. Not survival game. Animals have no place in this game.

Imagine dying because some dumb animal RNG reveals your position. As if circle RNG is not enough to screw you over 9 times out of 10.
