I recently changed my GPU from AMD 7900xtx to NVIDIA 5080 and must say I’m little disappointed about the FPS outcome. I’d expected to have higher fps in the benchmark tool but it’s pretty much the same.

Main reason for the change was the stuttering in Verdansk to be fair.

Is anyone else running a 5800x3d cpu with a 5080 on 1440p?

Could you share your results?

I’m pretty good with PCs and know what I’m doing but I’m honest here: with the 50 series I’m lost and the only other thing I can think of as a limitation factor is that I’m not running PCIe 5

Even my gpu time is either at the same level or higher than my cpu so I really appreciate any input.

Ps: I’m using DOCP and the CPU performance boost aggressive as this provided the best results so far, cooling is not an issue nor is power supply.

There is a reason 7900 XTX users were so happy when the 5080 reviews came out.

Watching the Hardware Unboxed 5080 review ( [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEu6k-MdZgc&t=749s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEu6k-MdZgc&t=749s) ), the 5080 was only, on average, something like 5% faster than a 7900 XTX at 1440p (in non RayTraced games)… but COD has always been AMD friendly.

Your results seem to be in that sort of ballpark… and right at the start of this video ([RTX 5080 vs RX 7900 XTX- The Ultimate Comparison](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhD2GOynqjY)) you can see the 7900 XTX has 5% better performance over the 5080.
