So many changes, the map is uncomfortable to play when you can’t get anywhere as a CT. T’s make it out main before you are even out z.
TimathanDuncan
Big surprise, the newest map added with also like 30% worse performance and massive changes is the least played
Nichokas1
Most people can’t run this map. Their fps is unplayable.
NarutoUA1337
it doesn’t feel like old train, more like some dm map like fy_iceworld
lapickett
Im not gonna discount the map being new as a part of the reason why its not played as much, but some of the changes feel bad. Nowhere on A feels safe without throwing 30 smokes, Longdog’s entrance makes it so you’re always paranoid of getting backstabbed, and Ivy has a hundred cubbies. Non-standard maps require iteration & care to be good, which this new version is yet to receive
bkaccount
That’s odd, CS players are normally extremely accepting of change
Takkotah
Just bring back Cache, problem solved.
DonutNo4568
Because if you don’t have a 10,000$ pc you can’t run it
Tomico86
Where Office?
batuhanoncul
I miss overpass :(((
PlusFlounder684
Honestly, that’s just the story of CSGO. Train isn’t perfect, but nobody ever plays new maps. With some time it’ll probably start being picked
The main concern is Inferno. It used to be one of the most popular maps, but it’s clearly not made for CS2, and it’s been awful to play and watch
LikeHemlock
Get rid of the fucking rain, the night aspect is cool
HellbirdVT
How does this compare to Train’s performance over the years, anyone know?
Feel like it’d be good to compare, if there’s anything wrong with this particular version or if people just don’t care for Train in general, which is kinda my feeling.
rxvdx
It’s cuz all the charm is gone compared to prior iterations, like most of the revamped maps.
I like it, but it’s not Train imo.
greenestgreen
it doesn’t make sense to change the least played map for a new one, it should be maybe to most played map for the newest one, then people and pros will start playing other maps and maybe making space for the new one more
tehLife
“I haven’t played this map before” in pregame chat lobby whilst my team bans it
astrovisionary
Probably the reason it isn’t played that much in pro CS is because it’s still a developing map, too much has changed to CSGO’s Train for the meta to be similar, most times I see it picked it’s either third map or this sort of wildcard map, but no team has it as their map pick.
Me personally, I just don’t play it because its performance sucks, can barely mantain it above 120fps despite all the other maps running at 170+ just fine
feelssuccman
Bad performance
dgsggtb
Terrible performance on this map
O_gr
It’s because it ain’t the same train. While I’m ok with valve experimenting, nothing is stopping them from creating new maps like canals and overpass in CSGO. Imo the changes are interesting, but too many were made at once.
BOBO_WITTILY_TWINKS
I veto maps that hit my FPS, ancient is a map I really love and hate down voting it for FPS. Its crazy that gain 200 FPS on the bland custom maps
Gloxxter
Still better to watch and play than vertigo
DM_ME_Reasons_2_Live
I like train tbh, people be hating for no reason
SocaSosa
I miss vertigo 🙁
NightmareWokeUp
I feel like every match its either inferno or dust. Odd to see both so low. Anubis is a map i personally only played once this season lol.
Hope they bring old train back but prob not gonna happen :c
Sentryion
Wait, ancient is play more than mirage?? It’s no longer green mirage, mirage is brown ancient
-shaker-
other shocking news: water is wet
Blackpillcel
Honestly I like it but half my friendgroup has to lower their settings everytime we play it.
But those inferno stats are way more worrying imo.
phz10
I haven’t played it once in premier or faceit since it was released.
Huubidi
I would love to play way more of it, but people keep on banning it all the time. What I don’t want to play is my 1000th match of Mirage, yet people keep picking it all the time.
Green-Leading-263
Please put overpass back in rotation
Schmich
Least played map in the pro scene?
That would be normal, as it takes time to properly learn a map for nades and strats.
For the average Joe?
It’s normal, it takes time to learn a map AND it runs like pop-dog shit.
neanderthaltodd
Great map, people just suck at it.
DrainMember1312
Vertigo was so many teams’ permaban, so when it got replaced the permaban status was grandfathered in for Train unless the team specifically went out of their way to learn it anyway and have it replace another map in their map pool. Add in the usual new map debuff and I think we’ve seen a fair amount of it played.
MakimaGOAT
CS players dont like new changes, are we surprised?
Dodgerson99
Going to be a lot more train played after the major when the map pool changes. Might force more teams into learning the map.
Strict_Ocelot222
Valve: Let’s add new maps and remove them after few months.
Also Valve: Why do people not play new maps?

It is so weird. A lot of Players, me included, wanted the comeback of de_train so hard. When it came and i hated it. I cannot stand it. Dunno why, it didnt made click for me.
WaffleTruffleTrouble
Unfortunately, many players started when Train wasn’t in CS2, and have trained all their map knowledge and line-ups on Mirage and Inferno. I doubt they’ll want to re-do that with Train, when they refuse to play the other already existing maps as well
ilawkandy
Train wasn’t the most popular map on late cs:go either. Cache was always selected more
sluggerrr
I haven’t played that much recently, but when I play it’s always banned, even by my friends who always want to play mirage and inferno smh

In NA Premier 16k, we exchange utilities at A main, and the rest of the round is all about aim duels.
AshelyLil
Maps with pretty much entirely new layouts aren’t played by teams who are playing for million dollar prize pools when they have the option to play the map they’ve practiced for 2000 hours?
I’m shocked.
xtrivax
On one side it is like every new map on the other hand I do feel like train is quite a bit harder to play and learn to a decent level.
In my different cs friendgroups new maps get adapted in 1-2 months most of time and played regularly. Yet with train not a single one of the groups has started taking on train yet. Even old train enjoyers are struggling a lot more, compared to other new maps.
needledicklarry
Vertigo before the A changes was an infinitely better map than train. If they closed elevator back up and kept the catwalk, Vertigo would’ve been in a great place.
sub7m19
no SHIT. Dog shit fucking map, which makes no fucking sense on how it was designed. Bring back the 1.6 Train map, not this suffocating wannaB Train Map.
